If you bought Combined Operations, to avoid problems you're best just downloading ARMA 2, i highly doubt someone will upload the files.

You could send messages when logged into the Dedi through the CMD window, but other than that because BEC requires someone to be around you when issuing a command in Direct chat the only other option will be what Soda said.

Tried it, nothing happened, so I downloaded the .dll from the website and replace the old one, but I still get this problem. What's the kick message? Yes works with any beta. -
My server is running 93825 and it's restricted Vehicle chat works, but direct chat won't, i'm not just talking about VON text isn't showing up to anyone no matter the distance. It's not been disabled as far as i know, any ideas?

The view distance is server sided meaning the admins can change it to what they want, thanks for your shouting it made it clearer.

Try exiting steam then running it as Admin, then start ARMA 2, once at the menu close it then start Operation Arrowhead (not CO) once again when in menu close it then start CO -

One thing though, not sure if it will affect you, when i system linked my AO folder to my SSD the graphics did this I solved it by in the mod line added "-winxp" without the quotes, just in case you need it.

It will work, as i run it on win 8 on my SSD along with Arma 2 OA on it.
