They are not actually "Zombies" They are infected, So they're technically not the dead reanimated so they'd still be living, It'd work if perhaps the infected died and then got back up as shamblers but so far we don't have anything like that.

Well it's a stand alone game and seeing as the animations are already custom for the Mod it's self why wouldn't they, Arma 3 and DayZ are going to be completely unrelated
