  1. I have it, and it says my version is the most up to date. However, when I open ArmA 2 through the desktop shortcut the version number displayed in the bottom right of the home screen is 1.62.95248 and not usable on the DayZ DIAF server.
  2. So I am having a bit of trouble getting this working. I realised the server requires the 1.62 patch and I had 1.59. So I download the 1.60 patch and install. I download the 1.62 patch and installed that too. However, now when I open my Arma 2 DIAF shortcut and go to find the server in multiplayer options it's telling me that I need 1.62.97448 to play! I hit escape and find that my version is 1.62.95248. So I download 1.62.97448 and install. Installation is fine, but when I launch Arma 2 my version still says it is 1.62.95248. Any ideas? I should also note that DayZ Commander lists my version number as 97448, up to date, and I have no issues joining any other servers.
  3. Sounds great. Took a look at your site and your Dayz TS channel looked busy. I'll pop in the next few days and introduce myself. Thanks.
  4. Hello, folks. My name is Chris and I have been playing Dayz for about 4 days now. I bought ArmA specifically for this mod and have no intention of ever playing the ArmA standalone. That said, I guess I lack a lot of the "game experience" that players who've played ArmA extensively must have. However, I pick games up VERY fast, and have played many FPS/MMO games over the last 10 years - 100% of the time in a clan setting. My point? I work well with others and I've never found a game I wasn't good at. The game has everything I could want, but the only element that it's missing is company. I've never played a PC game that wasn't made all the more fun with other players around. I am not fussed as to whether you are Bandits or Survivors, but please don't take this as a demonstration of lack of focus. I know I'd enjoy either play style. The only thing I'm not interested in is sniping fresh spawns in Cherno "for the lulz" and other such activity. I am quite eager to try robbing people, not killing them, but forcing them to down gear, take what we need to survive and letting them go on their merry way. I don't want to steal their pistol when the one I have is better and has more ammo. A Bandit with a little humanity left, if you will. On the other hand, I am happy to scavenge and scrounge, to help others, and fire only when fired upon, etc. I'm 28, have Skype, Teamspeak and Vent. No steam account. At least not one that I can remember the password for. I work fairly regular hours and have weekends off with 1-3 evening shifts a week. If anyone or group is happy to take me under their wing, show me just how deep this game can be - camps, vehicles, etc. - then 100% commitment from myself shall be your payment. PM me. Regards, Chris.
