I've been roling at least six deep last few days and bandaging everyone like a bawse that I am yet my humanity is around 600 and I haven't even shot at another player! What's up with that?

Every gun with zeroing is set to 500 by default AFAIK. I don't have a lot of experience with some guns, but I know the AKM pretty well, I found it's best set to 300. Whether or not that is the "correct" setting I have no idea. I used an M4A3 and couldn't hit crap with it zeroed at 300, nor at 500 so I wasn't that bothered when I ran out of ammo and subsequently got eaten. Edit:Actually, does the M4A3 even have zeroing? I can't recall...

I do love the AKM too, but last night I switched it out for a Remington w/ flashlight attachment, I love this gun and it's so quiet. Best thing to clear out a spawn of zeds in a city, step inside, line them up and pop away without the worry of attracting a second mob. -
I can see it now, Winchester over my shoulder, revolver at my side, idling down the emtpy highway on my trusty steed... all we'd need is a Stetson!

I love this idea, as an avid TES fan some alchemy or herb lore would go a long way in this game. I was thinking about staying out of cities, living off wild animals, canteened water etc but I thought to myself: How would I patch myself up if I got careless or unlucky? If this was implmented it would be fantastic to live off the land 100%, avoiding the cities completely.

You should've emptied that Makarvo into the back of his head whilst he was distracted with the zeds. The fact he turned his back on you to deal with zeds inside a building shows he is just a murderer and not a proper bandit.

I play a medic, I carry a good amount of supplis and fix up my crew when needed, but I also raid and defend and will kill anyone who doesn't announce their presense accordingly, mainly because I get skittish around players who won't say anything. I personally believe the "classes" blur into each other too easily to be truly defined. -
Epi pens are used to indeed treat shock, they will also wake up an unconscious player, though if he has low blood he will pass back out again. http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/Status_Effects
