I raid them solo all the time. I actually do it just as you describe in the video, one side first, the other after. I thought that was a great video too, with the two perspectives like that. You've hit upon a very cool formula! A video for the NW Airfield would be great as well.

Imho, absolutely. Night is half of the game, and for this reason alone the DMR outshines all the rest. Carry it with an M14 and you can share the abundance of DMR mag ammo between both weapons.

Sure, it makes sense to do those things in a car. It does not make sense to leave those functions in the game when it is responsible for endless duping of gear, which is the case at present. Until they find a way to allow more gear oriented actions without having it dupe stuff (which might need to wait for deep code changes, ala standalone) I am fine with having to get out to eat and drink etc. Its really the most minute of things that could be considered bothersome. Do you think they took it out for no reason just to make the game less realistic and spoil the fun of players in the ever so important meals on wheels program? Besides, you can't be serious that you think there would be a rise in cooperation of players if you could eat/drink/heal etc in a car, do you? Where was all this cooperation in 1.7.26 and earlier? Are you seeing a supposed decline in cooperation now that those functions are unavailable? Really?

If you've got the ingame map, you can log into a regular difficulty server which shows your map location on it.

Do you have to be on top of them to heat you in Chernarus too?

The reason I would turn down both a CZ550 and an M24 over a DMR is that only the DMR works with nightvision.

I would be interested in trading my NVG's for either an M4A1CCOSD (preferred), or the rangefinder. Let me know if that is of interest! The NVG's are currently on an agreed-to offer to another player. I will edit this again if that falls through.

This is my biggest gripe so far, which is minor to be sure.

Aesthetically, the combat log thing could be better. I don't have the pistol icon like I saw before, instead I have a too-wide grey box a the top that says "NOT IN COMBAT" all the time. Perhaps this is only on the particular server I'm using?

I have found a DMR in a deer stand. I found an M24 in a military tent at Stary. I have found AS50's and M107's at heli crash sites, but they don't interest me. I have been looking for a CZ550 since I started playing, I found one in an new spawned offroad truck, but never out in the wilds... until last night. I found not one, but TWO CZ550's in the SAME BARN!?! They both had ammo and were in spots that are natural loot drops. I grabbed one, and the ammo from both. :D

I experienced my first player combat logging in the middle of me shooting at him yesterday. I, for one, welcome our new Alt+F4 masters! I really like the zombie death animations too, much needed!

The puffs in front would be the shooter behind you missing and those are rounds hitting the door?

Indeed, that's how I check my blood when I sit down to eat steaks when I need major healing. A quick turn it on, heal, then turn it off. Also, you can hit "i", which will bring up the top server kills list. Often times if you aren't on the top ten, it will show you and your totals at the bottom. This is zombies mostly, don't know if it shows player kills. It's also a running tally for you character, not just the one session.

I like how it uses the G17 for the combat gun icon. :thumbsup:

Ive logged on to some public hive servers and found there is a more colorful version that is sometimes used with the "default" UI selection. One was called the "Monkey Meter", iirc.

He clips his body into a dead cow and his rifle into the ground so he is unseen. A player might pass by and check the cow for meat. He then presumably shoots them (from inside the cow).

I would also mention FRANKIEonPCin1080p. The dude is an excellent player, and has extremely well made, entertaining videos. He also gets a ton of views, exposing the game greatly. I've watched Sacriel's as well, and while I enjoy them, I don't find them as entertaining as Frankie's series-stye uploads. Here is Episode 1, for those interested.
