I'm not an expert, but I don't think it is very good. From what I can tell, its from 2008(ish)? Is that right? Let some of the experts come in here and give their advice. Question: do you play any other games with it?

Go to your device manager (just search "device manager" in the search field on the start menu in Win7) and expand the display adapters section.

Buy the combined operations bundle from steam. Install and run the 2 games it gives you (Arma 2 & Operation Arrowhead), until you get to the main menus. Exit. Install DayZ Commander (www.dayzcommander.com) Inside DayZ Commander, install DayZ, and the Arma Beta. Inside DayZ Commander, find a server and proceed with the game! Let us know if you make out okay with the install. Edit: Just saw those system specs, that's pretty low man. What is your graphics card?

Arma 2.5 engine. An improved version of the Take on Helicopters engine, which was an improved version of the Arma2 engine. Its not on Arma 3, but it remains to be seen how much technology being used in Arma 3 was able to be brought "down" to Arma 2.5.

It's worth it if you have a nice rig and enjoy a good looking game. Additionally, the Private Military Company DLC gives you similar texture upgrades on a number of items. I got them both and showed some of my buddies who play what the upgraded skins look like, and they were certainly impressed as they play without them. Indeed, as a fella that doesn't use facebook or twitter, the fact that they are almost force fed onto your desktop really irks me. Things like "My Photos" or whatever, I know where they are on my PC, I don't need them permanently spammed into my workspace at all times. I have no intention of making my home desktop a touchscreen, so using a touchscreen driven OS just doesn't fly. I've seen the classic desktop format, but it is without a start menu and I have the sneaking suspicion that every time you boot up you'd have to manually go to the pseudo-classic mode. I'll hold off 'til Windows9, and hopefully they'll see the error of their ways and revert back to something a little more "normal".

I agree, OP. As well as DayZ 2017, try DayZ+ It has the scarcity you're looking for.

Probably because it was the only way to see your humanity level, which you also don't have in real life, but is critical to finding out how close you are to becoming a bandit/survivor/hero.

Hi, I think hiding a body should require an entrenching tool. Alternatively it could require an axe and take much longer to perform, or an entrenching tool which would greatly reduce the time required.

I like a whitelisted private hive to avoid hackers. I do not like them to be 24/7 daylight, with additional weapons, and extra buildings. It turns it into a different kind of game that isn't the DayZ I want to play.

Fixed the link above. I was actually interviewed by the Cherno Journo after my first murder, though it was justified. He said it would probably be uploaded in mid-January. Its a great channel that doesn't get nearly the recognition it deserves. So refreshing! PS - Yes, we really need to get them back. We should probably be a little more serious when we play, at least when the hunt is on. I love goofing off like we do, but it leaves us unawares sometimes.
