I am sorry if I am too late to the party. I thought it was cool the first few times when the infected made the swinging sounds. Is this going to be a permanent sound effect? I do not think this sound fits the infected, but would like to hear your thoughts mr.Hicks. Thanks

I hope this is still a discussion and not just an argument. Private hives I vote the Private Hives. You definitely find great ones but it is hard. I have been playing for a long while. My friend has not had the luxury of being able to play but he was dying to. I remember telling him stories about finding my first gun, chopper crash and vehicle. Those few things had to be searched for, earned and going prone for hours. The other day he finally came over and used my PC. He clicked on a server and spawned with a M4CCOSD, M9sd and a few thousand morphine and cooked meats. The first words out of this dudes mouth were : "LETS KILL SOME BITTCCHHEEES!" He ran around getting pissed when he couldn't navigate even with the map and was ready to abort. I Jumped in and told him where to run and he walked into a field in elecktro and got shot. "im disappointed, i waited so long to play this and I dont like it." once your spoon-fed gear, shit sucks. Banditry I read a Thread a while back and it was the most interesting to actually hear some smarts rather than just crying. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49518-banditry-exploded/ - page 3 starts the interesting bit. Map size Chernaurus and Namalsk are my favorite for the size. UTES was more like Hunting except you are the game. Fallujah and Takistan are great with max vehicles. I just feel that if you can cover long distances relatively quick, its gotta be more rare. Either that or its a different play style. Its a fine line between distances you can cover on foot or vehicle, to still capture heart pounding adrenaline. (as soon as shit starts going down when you thought it was downtime)

Any luck? I am also looking into how to do this. I have heard that you use the older dayZ and enable it in the Expansions. The problem I am having is I cannot see the new folder I made, in the expansions directory. thanks

Hard days work? While i do enjoy the fear bandits present, it is nonsense to tell people who have downloaded day z specific instructions. 1. Install DayZ 2.Choose Server 3.Wait a million hours at loading screen because your player is being killed by snipers before you are into the game. 4. (Finally in Game) Run for a while. 5. Exit DayZ because you will get killed by a coward that says "too bad, you are playing a PvP game" (Snipers - too much of a coward and button masher to play Arma or battle closer than 600m away.) The term Bambi is getting a little tacky but it is still better that "A brand new player or a new spawn that would have otherwise whipped your ass in a previous character and could destroy you in arma."

if you look close you can see cement from the ledge of the roof when you shoot. If you were to go to the corner, or stand up you may have made contact. I notice the sights can be right on the target but always hit the roof

just read this thread, and so far I think even tho it is mainly a big argument. I think it is amazing how informative this type of arguing can be. It doesnt matter what side you're on, as long as you can discuss it like an adult, which is why I am loving this thread.
