My thoughts exactly. If something was going to be added I would think it would be from the already existing Arma game like the G36.

The only other game that really made me think about the decision I was making was Mass Effect. The difference is those decisions could be manipulated with multiple characters or reloading save points. In DayZ decisions are permanent and have lasting effects.

Im not saying you were wrong or right but isnt it awesome that a game makes you question your actions? One of DayZ's best qualities IMO.

This has already been addressed by Rocket on several occasions. He was very specific in his explanation for not releasing to many details. -

Did someone say Nasty? :D On topic: Nice write up Daryl, I used that method quite a bit since I had last played a PC game. Its always nice for players to share their methods of improving their play. The better you are at something the more you will enjoy it IMO. Hopefully someone who is very frustrated with their first few experiences will read this and improve their play. For that I give you beans! -
Because I have no life I basically sit on the forums all day and I hardly notice spam at all IF at all. The little spam there is gets dealt with quite swiftly. Not sure what the issue or concern is here. Its not like the boards are flooded with spam. Personally, I think this should have been a PM to a mod to clear things up in private rather than create a thread.

Well ive been told you're only as old as you feel. This morning I woke up with a bowel movement, lower back pain, and a headache. So based on that logic Id say im roughly 87 today. Hopefully ill wake up younger tomorrow.

Add them to your friends list on DayZ commander and you should be able to find them. Boom. Beans plz. -
Just something to keep in mind if you park your chopper on a roof that cannot be accessed from the ground if you log off and its gone the next day you are stuck on the roof. People can also shoot at the chopper causing damage to it and rendering it useless so again you would be stuck on the roof. If you get stuck on the roof 2 ways to get off 1. have a friend fly another chopper to pick you up 2. jump Just some food for thought.

I said I understand that this is a 'what if' thread. Or did you choose not to read that part? Id choose to read more wisely next time. Even hypothetical ideas can be bad, trust me ive come up with tons of bad ideas. The OP asked for a discussion so I was discussing his hypothetical idea (until you started name calling) and why it just wouldnt work even in a hypothetical world. Im sorry you took it personally, but thats a you problem. Sorry for the hijack (unintended), you can have your hypothetical thread back. -

Thank you, you just presented 4 good reasons as to why the OP is a terrible idea. You can play as cautious as you'd like but if one thing is certain in this game it is you will die at some point. I understand this is a 'what if' thread but lets at least make a semi intelligent one. -

considering most people die within their first 15-20 minutes of playing I dont think there would be much social interaction at all. -
I wouldnt mind seeing the SCAR as its already part of Arma. However, im not quite sure why there is a need to add additional weapons.

Making it a little harder to fly is one thing but to require a joystick is just crazy. This is not a flight sim. I understand it has some flight sim blood in it but thats not what it is.
