What's the best way to keep a sever populated?

The harsh reality is that there are to many servers and not enough players at this point. Its much easier to find a well established community that already has populated servers with good admins. I recently found a great community (balotabuddies.net) and cancelled my server subscription. So it may be best to set aside funds for now and then rent again when the standalone is launched and player numbers increase. -
Have you tried helping people? Blood transfusions, bandaging.

I dont see what the debug monitor has to do with any part of the game... maybe thats just me though. To ease your suffering there are still servers that have debug monitor turned on on private hives. -

At this point you only need operation arrowhead. Tons of guides out there that explain in great detail exactly what you need in order to get DayZ working. You should read one.

You can lose zombies by running through thick bushes and trees to break line of sight. Or you can run through a building it will slow the zombies down to a walk when they are indoors.

I appreciate your review. But I don't think you fully understand this game. This is not a PvE zombie shoot 'em up and in a sense its not even a zombie game. Its a survival game. Yes I will kill you for matches rather than hoping to find them on my own. That being said its not a game for everyone. Thats why as gamers we're lucky to have options. Game on!

No. A hacker is a hacker is a hacker regardless of intentions. They must be destroyed. Just because he was friendly for that one session with you does not mean that he wont use hacks to kill someone else. Im with Boneboys. This should not even be a discussion. -
