Man, not meaning to hit the panic button but right now the hackers seem to be out in force. Last three servers I've logged onto all have some mad shit going down.

I wouldn't say it was a breakdown, but I do think he needs to take a step back sometimes before he gets so heavily and publicly embroiled in situations like that with his posting. I mean, I get the fact he's an active part of the community and connected to the project and emotionally invested in its outcome - I also get that he's working late at night and drama at the end of a sleepless, prolonged work stint might not provoke the most rational response - BUT, he leaves himself wide open to flaming when he gives them the exact reaction they want which is a public freakout.

No one knows what goes on behind the scenes, its pointless speculating either way.

That all happened almost two weeks ago now - in internet drama terms thats as good as 9 months.

Been hunting this server on and off for the last few days now, got to say I'm amazed at how little backbone the players there have. Not only do they disconnect the SECOND they hear my gun firing - they disconnect to avoid Zeds too - I've witnessed this happen on six different ocassions now. ''Hey, I'm sick of being PK'd - lets join that one server so we can fight zombies!'' ''Shit, good idea bro!'' ''Hey, I'm sick of being ZK'd - lets exploit that one server so we can farm loot!" "Shit, good idea bro!" "Hey, I'm armed to the teeth with little effort - lets go PK!" "Shit, good idea bro!"

Darkargh is just cruising the forum for people to accuse of scripting/hacking/stealing/molesting his precious ATV. Quit clogging the forums with your butthurt and go find another ATV.

People who know nothing about programming dictating the what is and isn't sloppy programming. LOVE it.

Let them have their one server, and everyone starts expecting to have their one server too. There is no singularity, hence the rule set and the need to enforce them. Let it slip once, and you'll be dealing with an avalanche.

It says what's wrong with it when you click it. Like they said, its not just the game thats in alpha - the site is too. Some things are experimental and being worked on daily - Rest assured it will be back when its back and probably better than ever.

That's the one thing I don't get: If you don't like 3DP, don't play on 3DP servers - I'm surprised this has even been discussed beyond that point.

Whenever my group hits Stary Sobor I cover from the ridge - There's literally been times where I've saw 3 hoppers come in at the same time and have a firefight with each other and then all DC to avoid death.

I've been alive for 11 days now, every day I hit places like Berezino, Stary Sobor and Vybor (sometimes even NW airfield) - not because I need loot but because I enjoy the rush of not knowing if I'm going to come under fire and having to think fast on my feet when the shit hits the fan. All of the practices you mentioned are things that I've been doing naturally through experience without even really thinking anything of it, really - Countless stupid deaths on my part and rushed raids have fine tuned my approach to situations, not to mention the fact I know the layout of most of the loot rich towns off by heart now. I'm also at a stage now where I've been seperated from my group for a couple days and have been operating exclusively solo - I've been putting a lot more effort and awareness into everything I do, every raid becoming more and more taxing as I get myself into increasingly difficult situations just for the thrill of surviving them in the end. Unique is the mod that can make you feel this way.
