Any athsmatics would've probably been outrun and eaten before now. And inhalers run out. Probably faster if you're constantly running for your life. Diabetics living in an apocalyptic world would bring new meaning to the Mountain Dew curse. Their only chance would be to drink potentially disease ridden pond water all the time. Yummy. EDIT: I don't know how the Zombie virus works it's magic, but anything that could cause your immune system act up is surely going to make it's job easier. When the infection hit, I wouldn't want to have been working in a clinic or something.

If it wasn't changing DayZ, I would back it 100% I have learned to respect Rockets' vision though. Hope Mt. Everest next year isn't too taxing on the guy. He has promises to keep! :beans: EDIT: Good luck for the climb Mr. Hall, best wishes and all that banter. -
Get rid of death messages, map markers, unit waypoints, crosshairs, and anything else that detracts from authenticity. If it were up to me, you wouldn't even be able to see who's on your server. It's all taking away from the survival aspect of DayZ. I can see why the "friendly" markers would be beneficial, but communication within a group can compensate for them.

You shouldn't delete things from posts, incase people are reading this in the future and don't have a point of reference. (forum etiquette) It's my personal preference if I don't like fetch quests, I just assume others don't either. Read NobeBrutus's post,(above) for a decent compromise, I would rather just leave it out TBH. EDIT: The community would have far more creative trails, seeing as they (I) tend to think of these things while playing, and the Devs are too busy building the game. -

I use a Euro keyboard, (tilde (~) is shift and # ) use steam (Shift + Tab) if it's a real problem. It's one of those handy glitches I tend to avoid, but I can certainly see the benefit of it. -
Get Xpadder for £5. search online I use keboard and mouse, Gammy leg uses a 360 pad. Custom mapping, and you can still whip out the mouse if need be. There are a LOT of options for those willing to look. not hating, just saying. :P EDIT: Strategy games on PC no doubt, (I conider DayZ Survival Strategy) but I play action/shooty games on xbox. Over many MANY years, I've grown accustomed to a console controller for reflexes and muscle memory.

Wouldn't be impossible to mod it in, I don't have those kind of skills though. It would still be badass, you go to get some gear back, and you've wandered off! EDIT: Just thought, alt+f4ers bodies should turn into zombies and get them a fresh n00b spawn when they pussy out! -

We do get tornadoes, it's just that hills tend to kill them pretty quick, and they're only ever small compared to what is considered newsworthy. Blizzards would be cool, ties in with windy banter. -
If the hatchet could be used to collect a bush, it might finally recognise a tree when it's near it! :lol: Ace idea though, another thing I didn't even realise was obviously missing from this kind of game.

Might be able to convince someone to add it to the mod eventually. But as far as real DayZ rules, the Zombies are infected, but not dead. Players are still human, because they are immune. So they can't become Zeds. -

That's because it IS easy to be a bad guy, and easier still if you're with a posse of other bad guys. You couldn't possibly argue that making the choice to NOT kill every person I see on sight is easy. Especially since 4 out of 5 think killing for fun is the entire point. But most of the time I'm not alone, and we watch out for eachother. The fact is, doing anything alone should be possible, but seriously difficult. While adding more to your team makes it easier, but adds more pressure on resources. EDIT: And popping an unarmed survivor because you still have "1 bullet left", is a terrible excuse, for a bitch move. Whether it's a hypothetical situation or not. -
It probably wouldn't be so difficult, but I can't do it. I see what you mean but you can already convert 4x2 into 1x8 there's already a workaround. I don't think many people are making the mod their top priority, standalone fever up in here.

Replace "Sandstorm" with "Rolling Fog" not really a natural disaster but it's a lot more common and wouldn't look out of place. 95% chance to die in a tornado?! FUCK THAT! I would be well pissed if I got killed by the wind in a videogame! -

A lot can be communicated through movements too (if you're looking out for cues) , You really don't need a uniform, or even strict tactical squad formations. If your group can communicate, and understand eachother fine, you just saved yourself the need to buy an armband! :D I can see why people don't like the idea, and (no offence intended) if you feel that having a recognisable emblem gives you an advantage by making it easier to spot your friends when shit goes down, that sounds pretty Pay2Win to me. -
These plants as well as providing any medical requirement, should also add a lot more ways to feed your character than just tins of beans, or half a cow. Poison would work well to spike a blood pack/meals as a trap or a weapon. And could be used for crossbows and bows too. The Resident Evil "inspect" inventory view (I think it does it in Skyrim too) could be really handy in identifying leaves/fruits to add more learning to it, certain mixtures, in certain quantities should have varying potency, even different effects from the same two plants!

Wrong blood pack would fuck you right up! You should also be able to poison blood packs. If you're ever held up by a bandit forcing you to transfuse him, it would be a while before he notices. By then you're gone! -

I'm not expecting miracles on the day of release, but I'm looking forward to seeing what has been improved upon from the Mod we currently enjoy. And it can only get better from there. New content expected by January/February? These guys aren't just porting the mod to a new engine. They're working like crazy to give us the best DayZ experience they can. -
Looking forward to seeing if I can load up "Slug" "Pellets" "Slug" "Pellets" "Slug" "Pellets" "Slug" "Pellets" in Standalone. Pellets for breaking legs, slugs for breaking your teeth.

EDIT: I actually gave you a reply, but you don't deserve it. Go have a chug to your "Armed to the teeth, no PvP, dreamland" I certainly hope WarZ can deliver. Because it will help scrape the shit off DayZ's shoes.
