Hey @ryan.carter1353, so I and everyone else that sees this thread understands your problem. You were starting Dayz SA for the first time right ? And then you plug the internet cable out while Steam was doing those steps after download before Dayz Launches ? Have you tried to verify your files on Steam ? Go to your library -> Right click on Dayz -> Properties -> Local Files Tab - > Verify Integrity of Game Cache Maybe is a steam problem try to reinstall steam. Report back. Keep on playin! Icanfish

Hey there @Longhorn4606 that issue is not new, I remember a similar issue in dayz mod. If you haven't tried this please do and report back. Windows 10 & 8(8.1): Windows key + X -> Command Prompt (Admin)-> and enter in command line "winsock reset" and click enter. (without the quotes) and reboot your pc. Windows 7 : Start -> On search box type cmd and run as admin -> and enter in command line "winsock reset" and click enter. (without the quotes) and reboot your pc. Hey everyone, before we talk about the server let me give you a bit of background my name is Fish I work as a Network Manager/Programmer and I used to mod maps for Dayz servers (loot, new areas, dynamic events) stuff like that. Now I am back after a long time away from managing a Dayz server. I'm have been an admin for a long time in a few server in dayz mod I hope Modding tools comes out quickly :) . Alright tell your friend to try this out : On steam : Right click on Arma 2 / Properties / Local Files / Verify Integrity of game cache / Wait a couple of minute - If there is any file missing steam will download it back and fix it . Do this for every arma 2 expansion too. Tell him to try this out then report back :) Hope it works Best Regards Icanfish

Hey Toca349 Listen it can be hardware malfunction and that particularly one from your GPU. But it can be from your Arma/Dayz . If this freeze only happens on playing Dayz I would recommend you to do a file check if you done that already do a file check on your Arma 2 (Operation Arrowhead, and expansions). Also do you have Arma 2 Beta installed ? Bensticles have a point to you should check the temps. Best Regards Icanfish

Well your FPS drop prob, happens only in dayz? or in Arma 2 too? Happens in all the servers? Hello xBlurHitz, well it can be a lot of things that can be messing with your ping, for example any file sharing program you got installed in your machine ? It can be Internet apps? Because it seems something is eating a lot of bandwidth... But you saying too your pc run's arma 2 with no worries, In Multiplayer? It can also be something on your router/modem that's causing that problem. Have you checked your firewall? Got any Firewalls or just windows one? Keep Surviving :beans: Icanfish

Yea most likely balance issues, like Rossums said groups of players would have a bit more of advantages, but yea it's a cool concept wouldn't be that easy to implement, but you kinda adding what dayz aftermath mod kinda does which in my opinion is a good idea, but yea balance issues would be a problem, because many people play alone, but in other hand like you saying this would make player to group up :). That wouldn't work why ?. Because the zombies in Dayz are not a big threat, now they are a bit more a pain than use to be, but if we put them in slow mode or make them walk only, that wouldn't work because zed's in dayz need to be a threat that make us take care, look the best way to go loot a certain building, and to groups of people cooperate, now if we do what you saying well zombies will be no threat and it would be bandits field day :P , loot would be extremely easy for everyone !!. Dayz need zombies and I even think they need to be more harder to kill and to survive against them. Now the push away ability, If I'm not wrong I think that was mentioned already by Rocket or someone on the forums can't remember, Yea like -RoosteR- said melee system. Keep Surviving :beans: .

Well for that you kinda got the journal already, it or , it will, give, you sort of a medal award, it give you those pics, tells if you are a survivor/bandit/hero, the journal collects information about your life as you go through the various stages of heroism or banditism. I saw this from rezzed and saw the screen shot model of the tools and an idea came to my head, that for example to repair some sort of vehicle you need a certain type of tools, and you could find those tools in idustrial and when you get like 2,3,4 type of tools for example a wrench, Screwdriver and a plier, you could put together a repairkit or toolkit, like whathappen with the arrows you can put together a quiver. Probably that idea was already posted here, but just came to my mind and want too share. Best Regards Icanfish

Try to do a reset on your router or ask your ISP provider to do it, than try it again see hows ur connection, if that does no help if you have an extra router/modem swap it see how it goes. Best Regards IcanFish
