Yep, happened to me also. I planted some tomatoes. Fertilizer takes up 6 slots, seeds take 1. Planting 8 slots in a greenhouse consumes 40% fertilizer and 16 seeds (assuming the seed pack had 31 to start with). 4 minutes after planting tomatoes: 8 minutes after planting: You get 13 tomatoes per slot planted. 8 slots = 104 tomatoes! (Here is where we need the Eat All option, so we can literally explode.) If you don't have 13 slots in your inventory, the tomatoes appear on the ground as a single tomato without a number: On an unrelated note, I had a Mosin. Dropped it in the nearest house where I laid down my crossbow. The gun disappeared through the floor and is nowhere around. But now I have a crossbow with 1 bolt. I'm happy. And drunk, but was happy before drinking. Devs, give us the ability to build a greenhouse. Because I have a business idea: WhiskeyTango's World Famous Chernarussian Tomatoes and Fish Fillets 100% Better than Chicken & Waffles, 100% Cheaper Additional: the hacksaw does not degrade below Damaged state, no matter how many fish or meats I cut.

In ~7hrs game time I've had no CTDs on hardcore, but constantly on 3PP. There's no point in wearing shoes at the moment. Duct tape brings items from very damaged to damaged. And unless it was a fluke, sewing kits can bring clothes to pristine, degrading the kit to ruined. My mistake

Yeah, they were all around 65%. I'd like to know if this happens to others, or if it was just a fluke. Edit: they were cut with a machete -- pristine machete for the boar steaks, worn for the fillets.

Two things: I devoured 8 boar steaks, then 8 fish fillets, one after the other...without getting stuffed. They restored hydration, but the Stuffed message never appeared. How many pieces of meat does it take to get Stuffed? Also, when you're done using a fireplace that was loaded with 2 sticks, you can put those 2 sticks back in your inventory for reuse.

On SE04 right now. There's the option to add metal wire to a fish trap. If you add the wire to the trap, the wire just disappears. Haven't tried to use the trap yet since I need worms. Edit: The trap contained the wire but wasn't showing up until I put it in my hand.

There are 3-5 cows on the western edge of Pustoshka, the first town southwest of Vybor.

What an engaging account, hammy55! Had me smiling and nodding all the way through, and you summed it up nicely: "I want to reach out, but I can't." Like you said, the volatile human element lends to the atmosphere of danger-around-every-corner. I think, because of this, DayZ could develop into one of the most copycatted games ever. I've played this game since day zed of the mod in A2OA, and nowadays I still run around with the same level of intense distrust while gearing up. The difference is, after you're fully geared there's nothing to do solo except help or kill others. That will change once more gameplay elements are added. You joined the Alpha at an exciting time in its development. Time for me to log back into experimental and catch some fish with a water bottle trap. You better write more accounts of your DayZ adventure in the future! :thumbsup:

Yep. Tiny apartment, PC in the bedroom cause it's in the way everywhere else, wife trying to sleep during my gaming time. I'm not very social so playing DayZ solo doesn't bother me. I've been fortunate in that ~50% of my encounters are with friendlies just roaming the map. The good encounters are brief but full of trade and end with best wishes. The other half are also brief but filled with me cursing audibly, and end with the wife waking up: "Now you're dead, come to bed." My favorite time to play is when she's up late so I can use the mic.

Speaking of food... Anyone else have bad luck cooking in a pot over a portable gas stove? Happened to me 3 times in a row with 2 different pots - 1 damaged (1st time) and 1 worn (twice more), but with the same canister (worn) all 3 times. I can hear the bubbling while watching the meat cook, but it turns from raw to burnt, with no pause where the meat should be cooked. This doesn't happen with a regular fire. Any ideas? Only thing for me in the last few hours on SE8 (SW8?) was session lost errors after random times, 10-60 minutes. Haven't had the sticky key issue. I did find 1 repeatable issue: Start the game, click I Understand, then Change Server. Hit escape, you're back at the main menu. Clicking either Character, Configure or Change Server just refreshes the main menu instead of opening those dialogues. EDIT: Just tried a third time, same results. EDIT2: Change Server and Configure work now, but not Character.

As a new spawn I placed a burlap sack (that I just found, it wasn't in my inventory) over my head. How does one remove the burlap sack from his own head? I tried clicking and dragging to inventory, and to the ground. Right clicking lets me inspect it, but that's all.

Same here - substantial fps drop (~50 down to ~20) after patch. 6-core i7 3930k OC'd to 4.4GHz GTX660 16GB RAM EDIT: No flickering textures on inventory items AFAIK.
