No, they're not that easy to avoid. You learn not to make mistakes that lead to bugs/glitches, and you learn that some servers are buggier than others. Currently playing on a private hive that is the most stable server that I've found so far, very few glitches (relatively speaking).

Yes, I had posted "email sent" earlier in the thread. Been on the server for about a ?week? now. Great server, great admins. It is still just starting out so, as I said, pretty quiet (excepting the occasional player who abuses the shit out of the side chat which is intended for abuse/hacker reports only (according to server admin).

It's still a pretty quiet server which means plenty of vehicles to be had, I'd suggest getting on now while people are just gearing up! Also, as OP said it's very admin active. Meet a hacker? He'll be gone by the end of the day.

As he said he's stuck with AMD so the 2500k is out of the running. As for the mouse lag - could be as simple as reducing the "mouse smoothing" because mouse lag is exactly what it feels like. Go into your control settings on arma and lower mouse smoothing.

I highly recommend you take SIXlauncher, set it on fire, then acquire a shiny new DayZCommander. No, you don't need any of those "mods", those are additional maps. Chernarus comes by default and you only need any of the other maps if you wish to play on a server that runs one.

I'm fairly new to the BIOS settings but I remember dealing with that issue when I was overclocking my CPU. It may be your voltage throttling. I'd suggest going into your BIOS and checking for a Load Line Calibration (LLC) adjustment. Not all MOBOs have one, but yours may. Change the setting to something other than default, preferably something high "Very high, ultra high, etc.". If I'm not mistaken, it should average out your PSU input and avoid any instantaneous and significant drops in voltage (which would cause FPS issues) But hey, honestly though? Take everything I just said and shit on it unless you double check with the boys over at Tom's Hardware. They had to hold my hand through my overclocking, this is all based off memory... A shitty one at that.

To be honest, I disagree with just about every reply in this thread. My suggestion? Take your question about your build to Tom's Hardware. As for investing in either cpu or gpu: I can't tell you for sure but my gut instinct says the cpu will bottleneck your gameplay. Invest in a 6200, as you had mentioned. The post about getting an SSD and overclocking the cpu: I wouldn't go so far as to say you NEED an SSD, but it is convenient for overclocking and good for HDD intensive games. Overclocking will help your framerate but if you aren't the type to build your own computer you may not be the type to overclock. There is a risk of frying your system that way. I'm a hoarder. That's what gets me randy. Don't judge me, you don't know my life. Every time I try to set up a respectable camp it gets eaten within a day or two. I'm realistic, this is an alpha-stage game - I'm not asking for year-long stability. But at least long enough to set up 2 or 3 camps across different servers so I'm not forced to restart every time I log in. Preferably main hive connected, although beggars can't be choosers. Any suggestions?
