I aborted the other day and felt like a stud after doing so. I was running out of a big city and checking my '6' all the while. Low and behold, whilst looking behind me I notice a bitch hovering behind me as though his character is attached to mine by a 4 foot tether. I assumed it was a graphical artifact because both my character and my 'shadow' had a ghillie on and had the same basic posturing; so kept on running. Then I saw the prick go prone and noticed he had an SVD while I had an m4a1. I made a quick Beeline to my right and aborted. Fuck that guy. I'll abort all day, every day on someone like that.

It's been a while since I did any EMT type courses but if I remember right Epinephrine constricts blood flow thus reducing blood loss. If I'm not smoking crack and that is true would it be possible to give Epi-Pens the ability to reduce blood loss? Also, potentially medic tents/outposts that can be built/found in game to aid with TMW type shit?

I've got a partner I regularly roll with. I'm a little hesitant to guarantee we'll make a good 4 man squad but I'm up for a trial run. I usually hop around on diff. servers but if you pm me we can try to partner up and see what's what.

I'm not surprised - It's tentative (at best). For whatever reason it works on some servers, not others. My personal theory is that it works better on high population servers... I assume this has to do with server-load and the increased chance of bugs. But again - It has to be a server that has side chat enabled and it only works if the command is entered in said side-chat. It has to do with server-side feedback and side chat is the only delivery method I've found that EVER works. Good Luck

There's a known bug on private servers that have side chat enabled. If you type '1M-4pEN15F4c3' it should enable the debug menu. It doesn't always work... find a server with people on it and ask the admin (presuming one of said people is, in fact, an admin) if they saw the message. It shouldn't register on their screen, if they saw the message something went wrong. Cheers.

Worst case: It doesn't reduce blood loss. The issue is partly, I think, that many of us are assuming the epi-pen would be delivered via the bloodstream. There are three ways you could conceivably apply an epi-pen (intravenously, intramuscularly, subdermally). Those articles tell me it would be most effect subdermally or perhaps intramuscularly but NOT intravenously (which would, presumably, cause the greatest effect on your heart rate. Not sure if this will change anything, but I figured I'd toss that in anyways.

Epi-Pens are usually prescribed and carried (at least in the states) by people who have known severe allergic reactions. But since there aren't any allergic reactions in the game I was thinking of ancillary uses for the item that are realistic.

Okay there were some misconceptions about the post. Yes, epi-pens are primarily used for allergic reactions. As far as we know there aren't going to be any of those in the standalone. So concerning that branch of thought: problem solved. But you are, however, correct concerning real life situations. My thought in using the epi-pen to reduce blood loss is from I remember and what research tells me - yes it is in fact physiologically accurate (how useful it would be in real life I do not know, but the fact remains that epinephrine, in traumatic situations, is a vasoconstrictor). TL;DR - It would be neat if, in the standalone, when shot and bleeding out badly (if you don't have a bandage) you could use the epi-pen to reduce blood loss enough to aid in finding a bandage before bleeding out.

Me and a couple buddies have been playing Jeremy Beckett's servers for a while now. He lost almost all of his players when he switched over to Panthera so you'd pretty much have the lion's share in terms of items/vehicles/choppers/planes/boats. Very stable server, I have yet to have any of my tents/vehicles disappear (got 4 tents, 4 vehicles and 2 choppers). It's a whitelisted, passworded private hive so I have yet to see a hacker in there. Very quiet server though, as I said it's mostly just me and a couple other guys right now. So if you want a busy server this is not the one for you. His email is [email protected].
