Things you want to see in SA updates first.
izmak replied to ZlobaRUS54's topic in General Discussion
The two main changes I'd like to see asap are as follows, and they are more Quality of Life fixes than anything else. - Status Indicators - Respawning mechanics for basic items. Guns etc. shouldn't respawn, but basic commodities like food should. There's two possible fixes for the respawning. - Actually make food/drink respawn - Massively increase the length of time between requiring food/drink. Oh, and finally: - Selectable fire modes. Vehicles, Tents, Base Building. All of that can wait whilst the core basic features get nailed down. Amazing work though Rocket, well impressed. -
Lots of issues with loading (hanging on loading screen, never loading in) and character location data not saving. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3600-157-keep-spawning-at-the-coast/

A lot of these should still have gear and ammunition at them, it's just missing the higher grade stuff that I destroyed. There's a few that I haven't recently checked, most of which are on US21. Still a great source of ammunition if needing. :) -

D'awww. <3 As a fellow longterm EVE player, we seem to have somewhat common goals, Dan. I've been a little busy myself over the last few weeks on CQF's servers. We've been playing a constant game of 'find the Ural' with CQF over the last few weeks. I ambushed them solo with fraps running and stole the Ural from under them (Fraps: ). I've destroyed their Ural 3 times in the last 2 weeks, and blew up the V3 the morning before last. Just swung back past one of the camps 10 minutes ago and AS50'd the Toyota Hilux.I'm rather patient when it comes to searching around, so I figured that I'd give you a hand with regards to some tent camp locations. This isn't my full list, but there's a few camps I'm still actively keeping eyes on. :) US21: 009072 097006 011064 012039 106001 112004 139004 152008 US196: 001076 003000 004070 007055 009072 013066 053003 062004 063003 090016 122008 Note: it's been a while since I've checked some of these, and also my notepad is a bit of a mess - so some of the locations/servers may be mixed up (they shouldn't be though). I clean out and destroy the high end weapons (Assault Rifles and up) and rare accessories (Rangefinders, AS50s) as I find them, but you may get lucky with finding some stuff that I overlooked or that they've replaced since I destroyed them. -
Hey all, So I've been busy trying to film more DayZ, inbetween filling up my HDD with fraps footage, and my hardware going boom. Finally have all those issues fixed now, and had the chance early last week to film a 2-parter - which I've finally gotten around to uploading. This series came about as a result of a disgruntled CQF Member, who - over the course of a couple of weeks, decided to relay various intel concerning them to me via forum pm. Op timers, Op locations was the main bulk of the information, however as a parting gift prior to him leaving CQF - he shared the locations of their tent encampments, and then stayed online to record their Teamspeak whilst I hit them up. I'll be the first to admit that Part 1 is rather bland, it's non-combative gameplay footage whereby we investigate this intel, and then take what we need from their Tent Encampments, making sure to burn the rest of the high end gear that was left. What Part 1 does do, however - is set the scene nicely for Part 2. Part 2 however, is a whole different kettle of fish. I logged into US196 that evening, and then went back over the tent locations (Part 1 was filmed on US21). I stumbled across their Ural - and took the opportunity to say hello friends. What ensued was somewhat amusing, and I hope that you take the time to watch, and share the events that unfolded. As always, feedback is always welcome, be it here - or on the video comments. Please do 'like' the video and share it around if you enjoyed it. :) Reddit Link: http://www.reddit.co...ling_cqfs_ural/

So nice to see somebody resort to childish name calling, rather than addressing the actual issue at hand (you shitting up my thread, when you've even apologised previously for doing so). Go post your own thread about Timberfox, rather than shitting up my thread about people who played absolutely no role in this video (beyond being a voice in the background). Thanks. :)

B) Thanks for the Ural yesterday btw! -
As I've stated, if you have proof etc - go ahead and post it in your own thread. You apologised way back on the 31st July for shitting up my video thread with unsubstantiated accusations about people who played absolutely no role in this video (beyond being a voice in the background), and all you've done since then, despite apologizing - is continue to shit it up more.

So today I found CQF's Ural again. This is what it had inside it (note, I had the M16, and replaced it with the L85 that was in the truck): http://i122.photobuc.../ARMA/Ural1.jpg http://i122.photobuc.../ARMA/Ural2.jpg http://i122.photobuc.../ARMA/Ural3.jpg http://i122.photobuc.../ARMA/Ural4.jpg And this is what I did to it after I'd finished: http://i122.photobuc.../ARMA/Ural5.jpg

I'm not entirely sure why I am getting a torrent of abuse in this thread (all from one particular individual), considering bar the original post I've only posted once, in response to Tony. Also, the only person in this thread that I've ever actually played DayZ with is Timberfox (and no, no matter what you may believe he really isn't a hacker). Nor am I sure where in this video or post I've whined about hackers, loggers or dupers. I don't really get mad about any of them (if I did, I wouldn't still be playing DayZ). I'll let Rocket, Bohemia and Battleeye deal with all three of those topics. The only comment I made in my video (as far as I recall) was regarding the belief that people can only ever be killed by hackers. You can't play the game with this deepfounded paranoia of 'I killed a guy, I can't take his gun - it might be duped'. Unless an item is blatently duped, it's fair game. Couple of AS50s and an M107 in a single tent? Not altogether unheard of. I even showed in the video what my thoughts are on duping weapons, by destroying the grenades that didn't remove themselves from my inventory when I used them. With regards to the comments regarding my squadmates - I've never seen Timberfox or TomasYsidro (or any other of the guys that I play with) alt-f4 when I've been playing alongside them. Does that mean that they don't do it? I've no idea. I can't watch people 24/7, nor do I have any wish to even if I could. Unless you wish to provide actual evidence of somebody cheating (I mean, if it happens constantly, where's the proof?), your comments are simply baseless accusations. I think we'll all be incredibly happy when Rocket implements anti-logoff mechanics, I for sure can't wait. When you do have evidence to substantiate those comments, please feel free to create your own topic rather than derailing my own thread. TYVM.

I'm not going to dispute the rest of your post (the reason will become evident at a later time), however as you'll see from the last 5-7 minutes of my Part 1 Ongoing Operations video (http://www.youtube.c...er/phoenusfilms), a large quantity of military-grade weapons were successfully left on the ground in irretrievable positions around your camp (and we had eyes on the camp until the server restart). -

Is this really the company line? Somebody found us, somebody shot at us - this can't be right, they must be hackers? There must be something suspicious going on? Please do present your evidence, in the form of video footage (I mean, if this happens whenever we're on the server with you guys, surely somebody frapses it?) If I wanted to raise questions, I'd ask where the two guys went who shot Timberfox some 8-10km away from your camp, and then disappeared in front of the rest of my squad in the middle of an open field (the only guys on the server at the time were our Squad + CQF +1 Random). Or I'd ask why almost the entire CQF Playerlist Alt-F4'd as soon as 'shit got real'. I mean, Rocket's said that disconnecting in combat is an exploit? I won't accuse you guys of either of those things though, despite the ongoing insinuations that 'we ghost' or 'we hack' or 'something fishy is going on'. Please, just stop with this constant belief that you guys can only get found or killed by hackers. You guys would be so much better if you stopped with the paranoia theories. I have the entire thing frapsed which I'll release in a 2-part series at some point in the next week. Part 1 covers finding your tent camp the evening before, and Part 2 covers logging into US196 last night and the events that ensued afterwards. The day before all this went down, I'd found your tent camp locations on one of your other servers. I'm not sure if you guys noticed the huge pile of L85s, AS50s or M107s that were missing from your tents - in the exact same location, on US21. Have fraps of all that too. I can't say I've ever found a stockpile quite as large as the one that we blew up, and of so many rare high-end guns - but I'll refrain from any accusations here. As soon as the Grenades hit (and there were only 3) almost the entire memberbase of CQF who were connected Alt-F4'd. We too, had a player watching the player list. It allowed me (one sole individual) to quickly make up my mind as to whether to kill the very few people who I suspected were still logged on at the camp, or to go on a 2-3km Benny Hill Chase of your Ural - who ultimately ended up just doing a circle of the camp and then going back anyway (I don't know man, on a list of tactical 'oopsies' leaving the camp with a huge vehicle in order to protect your logistical assets was a really good idea. Going back after doing a 2-3km tour around your camp however, not so much). My 'guys' were over 8km away when all this went down. They were over by Gorka, because they thought your squad and the Ural were near Berezino - so that's where they were heading. -

I just wanted to thank you guys for the Ural on US196 this evening. Was kinda surprised to almost run face first into it, but I'm somewhat bewildered as to why a whole bunch of you logged off in your camp when I threw three grenades in the middle of your tents. I then went on a Benny Hill chase in a huge 2-3km loop around your camp, before finally having the chance to nail the Ural driver and steal it. Good fight Kearo Nasanam, you stayed until the bitter end. I haven't had an adrenaline rush like that since way back early in my EVE days. -
Repeatedly kicked from US366 (Villayer, used by CQF)
izmak posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
So this evening, we infiltrated and attacked CQF on US366. We had multiple scouts reporting the positions of their players, and squad of 5-6 guys in the main assault force. You will see, from some of my previous videos - that I've hit CQF previously - and on each time I have not used any tactics that are considered against the 'rules' of DayZ. I have not received any explanation, or reason as to why I was being removed from their server repeatedly. We originally set up to ambush them at Starry Sobor, logging in to their server several miles to the North and then infiltrating Starry with our group of 6-8 players. As we approached however, they jumped in a Ural, and relocated over to the Northwest Airfield (South Barracks). We repositioned, moving over to the Airfield to engage them. Again, as we approached, they decided that they were too concerned with the number of neutrals on the server (CQF numbered 32+ out of a server of 40), and so they pulled out, narrowly passing us in their Ural truck. Our scouts reported that they had relocated to Kabanino in order to refuel, prior to heading to Starry Sobor. With us being incredibly close to their position, we closed in on the North side of Kabanino and, despite several of our guys pulling aggro due to the proximity of us to the zombies, they failed to notice our positions. The Go Call was signalled, and one of our players opened up with a Grenade Launcher, pummelling 2 Grenades into the Ural, which promptly exploded - killing 2x CQF. Over the next 20 minutes, we hunted down and killed another 3-4 CQF in the town, suffering no losses (but several wounds) in return. At this point, they started kicking the non-CQF Tagged players within the server. They restarted the server a second time, and upon attempting to rejoin after this I found myself kicked repeatedly, with no explanation or evidence given. Darand, also a member of our squad, was also repeatedly kicked, along with more non-CQF tagged players on the server. I said nothing in chat throughout this whole encounter, I did not Ghost, my client crashed once midway through the encounter after my device driver crashed, and I logged back in at the absolute same position. The only way for me to successfully rejoin the server without getting kicked by the madmin running it was by assuming CQF Tags myself. Witnesses to this include Timber, Darand, Tinkeng, MonkeySphere and Cedarbear. This kind of blatent admin abuse needs to stop. Restarting a server once we have killed your squad, so that we don't have the ability to loot, is complete bullshit. This isn't mentioning the fact that, up until today - one of CQF's other servers (US21) has been resetting to night time each and every time the server restarted. Over the last week, I've checked US21 every 2-3 hours, and on each and every occasion (up until today), it was nighttime on the server.- 43 replies

Repeatedly kicked from US366 (Villayer, used by CQF)
izmak replied to izmak's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Sadly there isn't any fraps footage from before this whole thing went down. I haven't filmed in 5-6 days, because my HDD's been full of footage and I've been too busy out of game to sit down and actually render something. When we started getting kicked, I tabbed out, deleted the 800gb or so of EVE Online footage that I had 'pending', tabbed back in and hit record. As such, I only have fraps of the kicking, and our exfiltration from Kabanino to the East afterwards. What happened tactically, is described perfectly in the OP. I do wish I'd frapsed it though, as the footage would have been absolutely awesome. Other members of our squad have confirmed exactly how the op went down, whether you choose to believe that, considering I've proven previously in other videos on my YouTube channel that we don't use hacks or otherwise (case in point: the previous CQF video that I uploaded) or otherwise is up to you. *shrug* -

izmak replied to izmak's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Whilst this is something that we've done in the past (This kind of metagaming isn't forbidden), I wasn't actually using CQF tags during the op. I was using my normal ingame name, that i use when I'm filming YouTube videos (Izmak). I was forced to assume a CQF tag in order to join the server without being kicked. @Johnny - my beef isn't with you, or with the vast majority of CQF in general. As mentioned beforehand, we've had a lot of good fights with CQF in the past, and we'd like that to continue. I do appreciate that my original posts and edits were perhaps a tad harsh on CQF, but this was bourne out of frustration (32/40 members on the server being tagged as CQF, on a server owned by a CQF Member). I'd love to see an apology directly from the member in question (I'm not expecting you to apologise on his behalf), but I fear that there's absolutely no chance of that happening, because he seems convinced that we were hacking/ghosting, and won't heed any facts or information that we may present otherwise. -

izmak replied to izmak's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Thank you for pointing out the repetition in my grammar. It's something I actually do by mistake quite frequently, usually when focused on something else. One should perhaps focus their attentions more on the issue at hand here (the abuse of power by an admin on US366), rather than picking holes in the grammar of posters in the thread. :) :) -

I haven't once disconnected under fire. The one time I disconnected (the one time stated in the OP), I was not under fire, nor was I in visual line of sight of the town of Kabanino. The various people who I was running with at the time can confirm this. -

As I've stated throughout, no ghosting was involved at all. So where's that sincere apology from the Server Admin of US366, the one who is in CQF and who performed this chain kicking? Not to mention reassurances that such behaviour won't be repeated again in the future. -

Even if we had been ghosting (which we weren't), it is neither a kickable, nor a bannable offence. This was clearly stated by Ander in the thread that I linked further up this thread: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/2216-chernarus-quarantine-force-cqf/page__st__340 I do sincerely hope that CQF cleans house at somepoint in the near future. We've had some enjoyable engagements against you guys over the last few weeks, however the events of last night really spoiled the atmosphere and impressions that we had of you all. With regards to returning the favour, you are more than welcome to come and find us, either on the CQF Servers, or on our usual home of SE 6. :)
