    Sure, I'm fine with that. Give me an apology from the Server Admin (who is in CQF), along with reassurances that this won't happen the next time we decide to come play with you guys (using perfectly legitimate and viable ingame tactics), and I'll be more than happy to stop my posting in this thread. :)

    Then I'm afraid that you should possibly consider having your eyes checked. Before the server restarts, there were no less than 6 people from our squad logged into the server. Timber, Darand, Tinkeng, MonkeySphere and Cedarbear, albeit it some of of them using different names. MonkeySphere and Darand were both in different locations on the south side of Vybor/Kabanino/NW Airfield, the other 3 were alongside me in the main strike force. Your comment that there were "a few of you that had been joining and leaving the server" is also wildly incorrect. The only person that I'm aware of that disconnected throughout that operation was myself, and I had all of our main strike force in my view throughout the entire operation.

The kicks from the Admin were apparently for ghosting, as outlined by the server admin (Mad Vengeance) in this thread: http://dayzmod.com/f...f/page__st__340 Even if ghosting had been taking place (which it was not, we logged into the server several kilometers from where we struck), not only is 'Ghosting' not a kickable offence (confirmed by Ander in the thread that was posted above). If the Admin actually cared to have a look at the logs, he would have seen one disconnect (for roughly 90 seconds) midway through our encounter by our party. 90-120 seconds is roughly the time it takes to close the client, reload it and reconnect to a server. Not disconnect, join another server, sit through an authentication process - load in, relocate, log out and then switch back to your original server. The Admin didn't care to do that however, he blindly started chainkicking people over and over again. It also does not explain why, I, Darand, and multiple other completely unrelated innocent parties (who were nowhere near us) on the server were removed by the Admin. Such abuses of power are completely inexcusible. You cannot start kicking or banning people without evidence of a violation fo DayZs rules - to which there is none, because we raided their server and their group completely within the rules and boundaries that have been laid out by Rocket.

    Please feel free to point out where in my report am I incorrect (note, I am not - everything posted is perfectly and entirely accurate). Stalking another group is not a violation of the rules of the game, nor is it something that you are allowed to kick (or ban) for. You as the admin of that server should understand this. If you cannot, then your server should not be connected to the HIVE. You were not ghosted, you were careless and ended up being massively outplayed, and then started kicking people in order to try and save your shit.

    There was indeed more than 2 Grenades, I simply highlighted the two that started the main encounter. I myself had 3 Grenades on me. We had more than a couple between the other members of our squad, and the guy with the Grenade launcher had 4 HE Grenades in total. With regards to ghosting, those accusations have absolutely no basis whatsoever. Having ~6-8 guys total, 2 scouting and providing intel around the town, and 4-6 guys in our main squad is what resulted in the CQF squad being killed. Whilst I understand that it may not be an 'official' CQF Server, it is a server whereby CQF are admins. At the time of me being chainkicked, the only players on the server were either in CQF, or in our Squad. You can see that in the video I posted previously.

    So this evening, we infiltrated and attacked CQF on US366. We had multiple scouts reporting the positions of their players, and squad of 5-6 guys in the main assault force. You will see, from some of my previous videos - that I've hit CQF previously - and on each time I have not used any tactics that are considered against the 'rules' of DayZ. I have not received any explanation, or reason as to why I was being removed from their server repeatedly. We originally set up to ambush them at Starry Sobor, logging in to their server several miles to the North and then infiltrating Starry with our group of 6-8 players. As we approached however, they jumped in a Ural, and relocated over to the Northwest Airfield (South Barracks). We repositioned, moving over to the Airfield to engage them. Again, as we approached, they decided that they were too concerned with the number of neutrals on the server (CQF numbered 32+ out of a server of 40), and so they pulled out, narrowly passing us in their Ural truck. Our scouts reported that they had relocated to Kabanino in order to refuel, prior to heading to Starry Sobor. With us being incredibly close to their position, we closed in on the North side of Kabanino and, despite several of our guys pulling aggro due to the proximity of us to the zombies, they failed to notice our positions. The Go Call was signalled, and one of our players opened up with a Grenade Launcher, pummelling 2 Grenades into the Ural, which promptly exploded - killing 2x CQF. Over the next 20 minutes, we hunted down and killed another 3-4 CQF in the town, suffering no losses (but several wounds) in return. At this point, they started kicking the non-CQF Tagged players within the server. They restarted the server a second time, and upon attempting to rejoin after this I found myself kicked repeatedly, with no explanation or evidence given. Darand, also a member of our squad, was also repeatedly kicked, along with more non-CQF tagged players on the server. I said nothing in chat throughout this whole encounter, I did not Ghost, my client crashed once midway through the encounter after my device driver crashed, and I logged back in at the absolute same position. The only way for me to successfully rejoin the server without getting kicked by the madmin running it was by assuming CQF Tags myself. Witnesses to this include Timber, Darand, Tinkeng, MonkeySphere and Cedarbear. This kind of blatent admin abuse needs to stop. Restarting a server once we have killed your squad, so that we don't have the ability to loot, is complete bullshit. This isn't mentioning the fact that, up until today - one of CQF's other servers (US21) has been resetting to night time each and every time the server restarted. Over the last week, I've checked US21 every 2-3 hours, and on each and every occasion (up until today), it was nighttime on the server.

Hey guys, As a result of the feedback I received (on here, on Reddit, and on Youtube) following my Helicopter Assault video I posted a few weeks ago, I started filming footage earlier this week for a 'Let's Play' DayZ video, where I'd start from scratch and film my progress whilst providing a commentary into why and how I play DayZ. Unfortunately, Ireland has really shitty internet (I jest, but my own internet in Ireland is terrible - with ~0.4mbps upload), so whilst each part is uploading - I can't actually play the game. :( This will lead to there being a few days between each broadcast, but I'll try to save up footage so that you see a near-full playthrough until I die.     Did the beta patch not remove any effectiveness of turning up your gamma/brightness? Wasn't that what all that qq'ing was about? Turning those things up don't effect my night vision anymore. It's effectiveness was reduced, but it still provides a minor visibility increasse.

    Barbed Wire

    Barbed wire only really needs the following changes: a) the graphical display bug with it b) when you take *down* barbed wire, that should permanently remove it. c) Being able to dismantle it from anywhere other than at the center pole (e.g. you should be able to stand next to the actual wire and dismantle it) Currently if you take it down, it just repops on server restart. Once the above have been fixed, it shouldn't really be a huge issue anymore, as you can just dismantle it permanently.

    We gave no pretences that we were friendly, and opened fire when the opportunity first presented itself. Betrayal would have been saying 'We're friendly, don't shoot', and then entering the factory under those pretences, only to turn around and kill everybody. Infiltrating/Spying and Metagaming are all considered to be part of the game, Rocket has stated this, and doing group PVP is far more rewarding if you do it against other organised groups. We engaged a numerically superior, tactically better equipped force at the factory last night, and came out ahead. We were fully expecting to lose 1-3 people in the assault, but due to the circumstances outlined by Timberfox, we actually had a clean sweep and came away with no losses (not to mention some really great loot). DayZ would be extremely boring and stale if everybody just sat there farming or killing Zombies. PVP adds depth to the game, and it is the threat of this PVP that should make people be alert and vigilant at all times. The CQF we encountered last night were not, and as such they suffered for it.

    No Vehicles on Servers: Heres the fix

    The only things that need fixing with regards to vehicles is: a) Offmap saving. b) Helicopter radar removing. As somebody who has abused both of the above (and I'll continue to do so until they get changed), they are two factors that - in it's current state, the mod can do without. Edit: I wouldn't be altogether against having the radar changed to only other helicopters that are currently *airbourne* This is also very very wrong. I'm not sure about you, but on the server I normally play on (SE6) - people frequently go around the edges of the map looking for shit. I went around the edge of the map on US 39 a couple of weeks ago, over a period of 2-3 nights. I checked every clearing large enough to place a tent. I found something in the region of 60 tents, 15 or so vehicles. Stole or destroyed all of them. The only thing I didn't find was helicopters, because their speed/altitude makes getting them on/off the map trivial. If people are restricted to parking vehicles on the map if they wish to save them, then they will not go for weeks without being found.
  23. Ever since the server-side update last night, I've been unable to connect to US 39 (ran by 7th Cavalry). Each time I hit connect, it hangs on 'Connecting', and then returns back the 'Connecting Failed' message. Playing on US 39 hasn't been an issue since the server was launched, up until yesterday evening. Any ideas? Can connect to every other server without any issues at all. The server is still up, and people (albeit not many) are on there playing. Any help would be appreciated. :)

    There were a couple of us earlier this evening with the same issue. It's resolved now though, and the restart seems to have done the trick. Thanks for taking a look into it! <3
