  1. It took a while but I read through it all. I love almost everything, and I am VERY impressed with how much time you put in to this. Please don't stop working on/updating this. There is a reason this thread is so big. I genuinely hope that Rocket looks through all this. There is so much that can be done with this game and even though in the last few months I've become slightly bored with it, you give me great hope for its future. keep up the awesome work EDIT: one thing I would like to see and posted a while back is to get remove the ammo count when wielding a weapon. Most of the HUD is being removed for realism, you should have to keep track of the shots you fire. That if you want to know how many shots you have you need to open your inventory and check the magazine. Its could really add to the suspense of the game, getting cornered by zombies shooting your way out when you just hear *click* because you forgot you only had 2 shots left. Just some food for thought

    My few suggestions

I've been playing DayZ for quite some time now and I LOVE the realism of the game. These are just a few ideas I had for future updates: 1) No ammo count: I think I would fit in better with the game if we got rid of the ammo count at the top of the screen. needing to open your gear to see how many rounds you have left. This could really add to the suspense if you are not mentally keeping trap of the shots you are firing, and it fits in better with the realism of the game. 2) Intro Video: I enjoy that each character starts on the beach, and i think it would be very interesting if there was an intro video made. something that advertises for the game, and explains why you are starting there. maybe there is an evacuation, you are on a plane/boat, something goes wrong (maybe pilot turns infected) and you crash, wash up on shore. you pass out in the ocean, and wake up on a beach, the camera pans around you the zooms up to your character and the game starts right there. just an idea, could work well when the game becomes standalone 3)No indicator on map: Im not sure what is happening yet with the map in future updates but I would like it better if you did not show up on the map (unless perhaps if you are carrying a GPS. again, just for realism. Realism is one aspect of this game that separates it from so many others and I think it is the area that should be built on. 4) Firecrackers: I really enjoy the idea of being able to throw a bottle or can to make a noise the zombies will check out. maybe having something (rare) like firecrackers that serve the same purpose just on a larger scale. much louder, ergo they draw zombies from further distances. 5) Power?: This one might be a little too much but it is something that i have been thinking about. A few of the devices used in the game (flash lights and GPS) require power. maybe having the find replacement batteries (only after very long periods of use) or a solar panel to charge them? 6) 'Construction': The concept of the barbed wire and sand bags are good but they cover. It would be interesting to be able to build fences. something to build around a permanent camp if that is how you chose to play. opinions?
