fast and highly observant zombies are bad for the game

They have to keep in mind people playing single survivor mode. Even as they are right now if the server moved to full zombie densities(10 times or more zombies) solo survival would be impossible with the zombie vision the way it is. So it will be interesting how they balance things as they get the server code as efficient as they want it. -

There is something to this, I too find that the no gear until re spawn has some interesting side effects. Maybe a 1 hour gear respawn would have some of the benefits without some of the disadvantages. -
The CZ bolt 22s would be a great addition to the game, far better as the base survivor weapon to the winchester lever action in the mod. I visited an abattoir in the army, they killed the cows with a 22 bolt action with the barrel and stock cut off and placed the muzzel right on the fore head of a 1 ton cow. click, one shot, it drops like a sack. shot placement. Which is the whole game with zombies, so this is the perfect weapon. upgradable with suppressors and bi pods and optics. Perfect. I have a 25 year old Brno Mod 5 with a 4x scope and a few year old cv 453 premium with fluted barrel and a Leopold 2-7 scope on it. But, likely even a back pack would stop it at range, or weapon magazines, or light cover. The CZ 550 was common in the mod, so Presumably this map is in that area according to Rocket.

There are almost no zombies on the map right now, blundeing about on a moonless night walkging into actual zombie levels would be brutal. but it feels right now to me, if there is any shred of moon at all, the game is fine, with no moon, its uber uplayable

Could make it tough to get teams together, you will be scattered all over the map no matter how close you were when you logged last night. Other then that, seems like a credible way to curb the two issue you identified. Well done. -

Wha? this game is not an MMO. 50 or 60 players is not massive. Is Chess a MMO? a million people playing it 2 at a time?

wow, no its not, nearly every inventory bug is fixed and a far better scheme is in place. the massive amount of internal space on the map totally changes the nature of surviving. It now takes over an hour to search a small town. The feeling of imersion when you really have most of the portrayed world to explore is huge to me. Even the nature of the terrain and placement of buildings seems much improved to me. I love the fatigue, I love the loss of fluids, (but not the amount you have to drink to get full, and I have collapsed from dehydration in real life, you don't have to drink 120 times to recover.) I love the pace you have to move at. All that is in SA is the fundamentals of the new version and go me they are massively better then any version of the mod. to me, its way way different to play then the mod. You hate it but thinks its the same game. hmm

it doesn't just flatten the colours, it escalates to limiting your vision detail and distance. I think its fine, just need to make it a bit more achievable to heal yourself and make it go away -
20CC, to me the SA is already far superior to the mod. Needs a bunch of fixes, needs more zombies. But I play survivor, not helo builder not base builder not bandit king. To me SA is way more reliable, way more immersive and way more fun.

Since we are all running steam ids, they can certainly detect and stop a player from leaving a server, moving to another server and then returning to the first server in a tight time frame. There is no good reason for that pattern and it should be easy to detect.

And if 20 people had surrounded you, at least 7 of you would have combat logged.

I think your right, though it never occurred to me, The smart players will be less aggressive, more targeted in their aggression. And its the smart players that I worry about. -

The real down side should be an increase in fluid consumption and fatigue. When they get that going for all things the game will be even better. enjoy you 35 unit back pack, filling it is easy, moving it is hard on your fatigue -
Ok i get it.. its alpha.. but this is worse than the mod.

the alpha is way way better then any version of the mod, if your a survivor player, way way better. the concept is better, the interactions with the environment are better, the content on the map is far better. The fatigue and energy and fluid maintenance is way better then some timer. the whole thing is just far supperior to any version of the mod. Its missing lots of things but what is there is far better -

tool has to be in your hand it seems, axe can waste up to 70% of a can, well implemented I would say -
I have two blood bags and a blood tester but no IV thing. I have no hunger pangs or thirst pangs and the inventory screen has no indicators. Does natural refreshing of healing work and do I have to go prone to do it or anything and how long till I can see good again?

they seem to have added the destruction of a portion of food cans when using axes to open them that was quick, and very cool

I took 3/4 of a dose of anit biotics and it didnt cure it all the way, after that it cured itself in about 10 mintutes
