its not that you play it, its that you exploit it, just like people say they do not do when they whine for 3rd person.

When I tell people online that I have only killed certainly less then 15 people in over 1000 hours of playing the game they do not understand it. But the combat mechanic is really just a gltichbat mechanic. So flaky that it wrecks the game for me. I like it to just be a threat that hangs out there. But actually playing the game for such a fail combat system is kind of pointeless IMHO. Only griefers would really value it. I do not know that they will ever be able to do much better on such a huge map, and I am ok with that since the game is good enough without it.

just turn off the system hive, every server is its stand alone own server. Biggest issue with this game. -
I mean like the server will have to check if every sound within 1000s of meters is heard by every zombie in that range. The servers can barely handle a currently moderate number of zombies with a moderate number of people. You will make their processing exponentially more costly to the server. Right now they are checking within dozens of meters.

think through the effect of Zs responding to sounds from 1000s of meters away in game.

The screen shot, and the game allow you to have a target in the crosshairs totally in focus and ready to shoot, and the whole periphery in focus for clear observation. As I said this is nonsense. The only scopes that can accomplish that are designed for it, and they have very low powers wide angle and typically long eye relief. And those scopes are not in the screen shot. -

if you can focus the cross hair and target through a 12 power scope and at the same time see what is going on around you, then you are an amazing person. But your not, you just do not know what your talking about and like to hear yourself type. -

no it depends on the design of the scope only wide open scopes can give you a picture through the scope and what's arround it that is compatible. No 4 power scope can. -

More importantly you also cannot see the fore sight when you look through a scope. Or the whole world around you like that. -
It is strange to see such a strident stated position that is the absolute opposite of the truth. The only defence the mini bird has against an m240 is not being hit. That is a big defence in the real world but no so much of a defence in a world 20km across with everyone armed. The mini bird will be very very vulnerable to to the weapons already in the game, much less a squad automatic weapon with a 200 round box.

you actually have to play for ammo.....what a concept. Normally I play very conservative but exp is just KOS, I had a guy with a knife chase me as a new spawn(I had only spawned maybe 2 minutes before he attacked) he chased me swearing at me for half an hour.

I think they have to make the more substantial. Make them environmentally valuable but not directly combat valuable. The increased steak size is one thing I guess. But the only people eating steaks in the game are people who want to eat people. (I know it was just an example) Hearing and tracking. Make skilled characters be able to see tracks from enemies for longer. Like I think was mentioned. Change the medic system into a skill test for bandaging, splinting. Cleaning wounds. Make cooking matter allot. So eating cold beans is also worse then eating warm beans. Put a skill test on the preparation. that can burn the beans. Or spill them. Put a skill role on every repair activity. You used your repair kit but actually moved your pants from worn to damaged. But you learned a bit from it. Make people use weapons repair kits on weapons. Count it as cleaning if you like. Even cleaning should have a slight chance of learning about caring for a weapon Changing anything on a fire arm (scope, forestock, camo paint) uses your weapons care skill. The weapon knows that its fore stock was kind of weakly mounted and is less accurate, it knows its scope was not well mounted and its less accurate) People will say this is a combat skill. But let the person keep trying to work on the rifle till its done right. and you do not know a rifle scope is really really correct without firing it. The weapon has to be disassembled to have any of these things done to it. Have weapons behave sub optimally when not clean. Cycle slower, jam more what ever. Have axes hurt less when dull.

I have read this again from 2013 nearly 2 years ago and nearly 3 years from the start of development BEFORE YOU BUY, READ ME! - to summarize, do not buy this game but it will get more expensive for you if you do not. (even this is not true, the "alpha" is still the same cost There will be monthly weakly and daily builds.(that would be cool) No mention of the game being completed in 2017.. someone needs to be able to pressure the developers into delivering this game.

You are certainly correct. delivery is where people fail. And this delivery has failed just due to the duration they have taken. Promising as it is. If they had just made a measly 15 million in the alpha offering, they would have burned that and been cancled already.
