Skint (DayZ)

Another one here. Logged out yesterday afternoon 1PM (GMT+1) with my normal character near Rog Por, then connected 3PM and spawned on beach with gear but invisible and gloved hands. Tried on other servers all same. Did a re-spawn suicide to try to fix, but that just reset my gear. Now tried lots of servers this morning and all have this bug, invisible and 3rd person sees only gloved hands. I'm giving up now until 1.5.9 is released. Please fix this ASAP Devteam, thanks.

I connected to 2 servers (UK6 & EU5) this morning between 8AM-9AM (BST) to test the patch. UK6: Very fast connection and got into game very quickly. However I could not move or open inventory, major bug, so disconnected. EU5: Very fast connection and got into game very quickly. Low FPS issue completely gone, now back to normal. Everything worked as it should. My character was where I left pre patch and with all gear. So, some servers OK and others not, usual state of affairs really! The hotfix has fixed the FPS issue for me anyway. Thanks Rocket, awesome mod.

+1 OP +2 Rocket! Only my second post on forums but want to add my support to Rocket, Devteam and the idea of a "Compliments" section. DayZ is an incredibly immersive game the likes of which I have never experienced before. I can't stop playing it. I can't stop thinking about it when I'm not playing it! I even get up early now to put in an extra hour or so, it really is that compelling. I love it and the recent changes are fine with me (I finally found some matches!). Keep up the good work.

This has nothing to do with your PC specs. I have had the same issuse since I started playing a week ago (v1.5.7). It is server related. When I connect early in morning (6am) the it's very fast, but afternoons and evenings are, 9 times out of 10 very, slow with exactly the issues you describe (the slow text bottom right, fps drop). It's just huge stress on servers causing these problems so it does not require a fix. All your recent problems are due to so many players wanting to try out the new patch and swamping the servers. I connected this morning on a server running 1.5.8.2 and it was fine, good and fast, and I have a mid spec PC too. PC: E5800 Dual-Core 3.2GHz 3GB RAM 8800GT 512MB (Most Arma 2 settings at Normal/Low) When the buzz of the new patch dies down in a few days, all will be back to normal. ROCKET: I hope you read this thread and confirm the problem as server side.
