  1. by the way, you could make it SO IF WE STAY ALIVE after a firefight, maybe our agressor broke some of our stuffs. remplace a bean can by a thin empty can, remove one mag of stanag... remove binocs anything. Fight ? yes.... but now you have more to loose engaged.
  2. My hand is already shaking when I have to kill someone... You just have to remove the entire humanity system to keep on the good way.
  3. yes, because that can be a huge indication of "shit, there was a guy here less than one hour" (if the can stay on the server for 1 hour per example) You can remove all other fake can in loot table.
  4. yes, it must be hard to code... But it worth it. This is the only way to piss bandits off ;) and we like bandits tears... Bullet in back pack and random stuff in back pack are fucked Bullet in entire body, random stuff in gear inventory are fucked Bullet in head, if the guy has NVG on head... too bad... More bullets are shot, more increased are the chance to break stuffs. If you really want to piss killers off... don't make stuffs desapears.. make theim not selectable XD

    I think personaly this is awfull and put too much barrier to players different style. Humanity should be removed, at least not used to penalize or incitive a playstyle... Check my sig for more explainations...

    Yes, you can do all of that. Find a chopper, repair it... :/ In fact the only thing you ask is a sentence on your screen saying "You win, congrats!"? .... Yeah, I think too the theremin is the hell of an instrument.

  9. I think humanity should be totally removed as fast as possible. This variable based on "what kind of person we kill" is not usable in DayZ.
  10. Awesome idea. I'll be glad to try and help. I hope the incoming patch won't add the "heartbeat" thingy or that will lose interrest since a bandit won't be able to try to enter and betray :( But awesome idea victorM!!!

    Subtle Audible Cues and Humanity

    I am totally against this all humanity system. It s a trick, and a bad one. I am a survivor and the only positive thing when you are a survivor in this game is the awfull choice you have to do when facing someone. That s why I keep playing. That s why dayz is different. If any cue tells me what to do, it will remove my hand shaking on the mouse, it will remove all the questionning, it will remove the gulty feeling after killing. In fact it will remove all the interest to try to be a "good human in a world who has turned shit" And that kills what I love in the game
  12. Randomness is more awfull than no heartbeat. That option doesn't bring nothing then. You will hear nothing, think the guy is good, try to team up with and then he kills you. Without this at least we try to avoid theim.

  14. Yes, those numbers top right screen act like a bad advertisement. If you want to know how many people you killed, take a pen and write it down on your arm. About bandit kill, you should always feel regret when you kill someone. The bandit murder stats removes that "omg I killed someone :( " and remplaces it by "good for him" The humanity variable will never be helping on anything. It will always incitive a way of playing wich is not good. We have enough way to be cautious: Stay away from coast Stay away from big city and military stuff The game is boring if you don't make anything of those, so when we go there, yes, the KOS is a logical way of thinking and it s highly possible we don't survive those travel. We change our way of thinking when in this or this context. That s how it should work, not with any humanity system that prevent us to go in NW airfield or stary. Because it s almost not possible to go in stary without a firefight, that means what, survivors should only find beans and water and wait? No, you should remove the humanity system and let people think what is "good or not". The real thing to do is to give something great to people who do not want to kill for fun or for loot. It's to give theim the ability to rebuild the humanity. Create town, develop ressource ect. (plenty on posts on that and I know it s in your plans) For now there is nothing else to do than kill and loot. That s where the problem is coming from. People kill mainly because they are bored. You should maybe focus on that, not on something who give trouble to bandit. I suppose it s easier to put flies or heartbeat on bandits, but it s not the solution and I'm sure you know it. I know too the town concept and the ability to repair generator are an incredibly hard work for you. So if the heartbeat is just the "Ok, this is temporary until 'good people' have something to do", yes why not.... But this is not the real problem.

  17. Seeing Rocket trying to find a solution to those both problems gave me an idea that I didn't developped in his thread to stay in the 20 words rule. Here is my thought: The crowd/flies is negative for bandit, I think the solution is not to penalize bandit but give something to "good guys" Why not mix the two last ideas: Give a gun to "good guys" but nothing else on spawn. Give nothing to "low humanity guys" Before yelling, read the explainaition: A guy with a low humanity with a gun will be able to defend himself earlier, but he won't kill anybody because, remember? It s a good guy. In fact, this give an advantage to survivor to defend theimself. If you shoot someone without a gun, no matter he is bandit, you loose humanity it s a murder. So we don't have the scenario where survivor kill bandit seeing they have no gun to defend theimselves. The only person who will kill a non-armed bandit will be "a bandit"... I m already laughing at this. No it s not reallistic, no more than bandit skins or crowds. Just a different mechanic. Thoughts?

  19. Why am I a "survivor" ? Technically it s stupid in a game, this is of course a huge disadvantage. The reason is simple, for now, people trying not to kill do it just because it s challenging and/or because their life conviction extend too much in the game. The only advantage to this, is that even in the world going to shit YOU keep trying to be good. That must remain the only reason to do it. So the humanity system is useless and can't be used. It s just like in life, it s easier to be a jerk than trying to be right or in the law all the time. Honesty is often penalized, and in a game so "realistic" it should be exactly the same. We will adapt our way of playing with experiences we had in the game just like we would in a similar situation IRL. Not because of numbers top right screen.

    Good idea, but just make that we can't join the server where we died. People must not be forced to play on one server since everything is very unstable for now. But yes, you can't log back the server you dided for like 24 hours. So if you had a chopper or tents in that server, they become useless.

    This is not a punishement for bandits since rocket think to remove makarov for everybody. It s just an advantage to survivor who will have it from start. But survivor use their guns against threats, period. Not to harm people or take their loot. So survivor could have this slight advantage on the start. Don't forget we are talking about an advantage who last about 1 half an hour. After don't worry, bandit will have the advantage back since they shot on sight.
