Tents are a problem, we can't hide theim because we can't place theim easily. They sat, thought and take their tents up north in the outland while other were crying for days about glitched tents. I learnt to find north with a watch in this game. Maybe a day it will save my life, who knows. Some people can travel at night using stars in arma, admit it's quite interresting and realistic. Maybe it s not the game you are looking for.

Base are findable only with a chopper. if you only have a car your chances are low. you need luck Go from this point, drive for 6 min on that heading you'll find a tent. A tent containing only fuel jerrycan. From that tent drive for 6 min on another heading you 'll find another tent with only jerry can, and so on and so on. Bases are at the end of the waypoints marked by tents. There are not easy to find even with car since you will probably die of thurst, tents are acting like codes you can't decrypt without the key (proper heading) Nice found Antvan :) They got what they deserved

Okano, you are talking about cheaters, I agree with you. I m talking about regular player who HAVE to come back on the map. Guys, dayz is awesome because of that, because it puts The sims players, cod players, dumb players, rts player together in a fucked up worlds People are just yelling : go play cod, hello kitty, the sims ect... ok So who the fuck will stay in the game? You? bro, you gonna get bored. What kind of player are you? Mass killer? survivor? noob killer? solo player? Tell me, so I know how the game should be played.

I never found a chopper either. But I always planed to do this if I find one, because it s the most interresting thing to do with choppers. It s sad that some admin use their admin advantage to do it, but I m sure a lot of those clans up there made it legally, repairing ect. I just don't complain about it because it s useless and logical. In an apocaliptic scenario, if you find a chopper (and are lucky enough to be able to fly it) you definitely have an advantage. It s up to you to do what you want with it. You can build stuff and try creating a comunity and war other clans, you can fly it to help people like I saw on some post or you can fly the coast and shoot everything moving like I saw on some vids. It s up to you, but the smartest is definitely the first option.

Yes there are probably server owner doing those craps and on that point I totally agree with you. But guys, there is nothing to do with a chopper that you can't hide. Most of shopper take damage when flying the regular map because dumbass shoot at theim... for what? for nothing because the choper is down and explodes :/ There is no point to have a chopper in this game if some guys can find it easy after you repaired it for days. So a solution had to be find to keep that advantage.

I don't see the problem. This is not ruining your gaming experience as a frag grenade too powerfull. It has nothing to do with other players.

I agree with you, those shits are sad. And ruin the game. I can't more agree with you. I just don't think it s bad to try building something, and this is not cheat. Or rocket would have put walls around. If he considers it as cheat, tomorrow there will be walls, that s all. But... I really wouldn't bet Rocket would do that.

but honestly, I think the minut when it will be possible to clear a town, and create fortification, prevent server hopping, be possible to add power in town. Those guys will come, clean cherno with high fire power and install theimself. Another clan will come, clean Electro with high fire power and install. Then you will get what you want, they left the map, and they will try to rule it, fighting against the next city for more and more power. That s how human work, specially in great games ;)

The problem is that you want to understand... there is nothing to understand... Why people shoot noobs on beach? Why people play as bandit? Why people play as loner and write story next the fire? Why people try to kill only in defense? Why people make war and come back in the map to find supplies? Because it s possible. When one of those won't be possible, it will stop beeing. (and it will be sad for those who like the removed aspect)

You are getting off topic. Engine is not your concern. If Engine can't support war around map Rocket will lock it, period. :/

The day when rocket will say "Guys, sorry it s over up north, we don't have the ressource to make it work anymore" it will be that way. If for now it works... Why add building? who cares? If we can build stuff, hell yes but there is no need to put trees or shits... Eccept if we can plant theim to have more cover... That would be awesome but will probably be performance consuming so it won't probably happen

it s part of imagination. Just tell your mind it s not "not intended" just tell your mind it s desert with nothing, where military camps are setup. Where soldier have to fight against other soldiers who want your supplies. There is no goal in dayz, just find yours. If you want to rule the map and have all you need to survive, ffs, where is the problem? Why asking for a freaking wall? players ask for wall now?? wtf happened?why do you want to reduce the game. One day rocket will probably spawn zombie around players up there too... they'll deal with it. It s just awesome...

Because you have to find supplies. And go in the dayz part of the map to find it. Big war requiere big supplies. They raid stary like you, the dodge z's like you. they just "don't do only that" like you

I don't even agree with the fact that it should be stopped later. One day, there will be zombies up there too. And you can fly, mark a map (yes you have to draw one) of camps you saw. there will be just more city around primary ones that everybody see. Why would it ever be a problem? since it s fun. Sand box guys, don't forget.

Camping the coast with a sniper rifle is cheap too. According to your logic, if you can't easily get to someone's tent they shouldn't be allowed to have one, which defeats the purpose of the tent. May as well remove the item in that case, or give a better alternative. Surely you see how silly that is, right? Camping the coast with a rifle still runs the risk of death. Having all of your gear even 1km off the map drastically reduces the chance that it'll be looted. It's just safe and easy. Kinda lame is all I'm saying. You can see where I'm coming from, right? If you think to protect choppers, cars stock of gear from other organized clans is easy you should defenitly try. It s war up there. Just a different one. More strategy, more firepower, more fun. Keep shooting noob on coast.

There are bandits camps, there are survivors camps outside bounds. Find a chopper, fly above. If you re shot at, probably a bandit camp, if they shoot around, they just tell you you are flying an unauthorized area. Just land, drop your guns and walk to the camp, they maybe need a chopper pilot + chopper. They won't kill you for your nvg since pile of theim are already there. There are another style of play than yours. Don't ask Rocket to remove interesting things. It s not cheap, it s crazy what you can do with arma or dayz. If one day rocket add ability to plant vegetable ect, we will be able to create crazy stuff from what people first see. What s the problem for you? Read your signature Publik ;)

Cosmic,it s the desert. There is nothing up there. People who do that have to go in cities ect like you to find ressources, yes sometimes there is a goat... but I've never seen water. So they have to take the chopper, or cars, raid a town and go back in the desert. You can raid those spots too. You can find a chopper and fly above desert to find theim. Thoses bases are growing and growing, you will soon have war between those bases. It s a different gameplay up there with hierarchy ect. Some people are shooting everywhere like dick, I don't like that gameplay, I don't condamn it. Just open your mind neo... there is more in dayz than you think. The bean doesn't exist.

Like a desert? That s what it is. Hiding stuff in a desert seems more than legit. No body dares to look for your shit or they risk your life. Nothing unreallistic in that

For now there is no way to clean up a town, build city ect. So for now it s fully legit to me. That s part of what survivors can do. No useless killing... but we keep da dam choppers in self-made bases ;)

It s brilliant, why would it be an exploit? They have nothing to loot, they have to get down some time to survive like you. They build kinda cities... made of tents, barricade it... safe heaven. If they like that style of play man.. I don't see it like an exploit, I see it like a peacefull comunity trying to build something.
