I tried joining this server and I get kicked with messages saying " Files C:\.....@DayZ\addons\dayz_xxx.pbo has a bad key". Where "xxx" represents files such as dayz_anim.pbo . Any ideas what might be causing this?

Roughly how much bandwidth are we talking for say, a 40 person server per month?

I don't understand these suggestions at all. What fun would this game be at all without: A.) Aquiring assets and, B.) Player vs Player interaction? If vehicles and tents are made expendable, and there is no reason to engage other players in gun fights this game will die overnight. The whole zombie thing is impressive for about the first 72 hours, after that your realize how ridiculously easy they are to train and kill. If there is any interest in keeping this game healthy whatsoever, developers will be looking into implementing the exact opposite of what the OP has suggested here.

Hey fellas, great server you have there. You did a great job modding it out. Unfortunately for me, I find 1st person in this game to be absolutely terrible. I think first person is far better suited to smaller run and gun games and maps. If you guys decide to switch back to allowing third person please give notification on this thread. Me and about 7 of my friends will start joining back up.

This server still isn't showing up for me anywhere but in game server browser. I tried to get some friends in but they can't even see it in their in game browser :/

It's makes no difference whatsoever? Everything will be duped back in within a week? The only thing wiping the hive will do is punish the legit players whom spent likely hundreds of hours building up to their current status. Fix the root issues which cause this situation....THEN worry about wiping the hive and starting over.

...and there it is....lol I don't know why nothing else is picking it up, but maybe that's a good thing :P

I search 'fmf" under lingor and nothing comes up. I also tracked down an IP associated with your server name and it didn't return anything. I tried looking on play withsix and gametracker.com. Last thing I can think of is try the in game browser.

Looks like you guys have 5 servers up....but none on lingor :o

I'm looking for a passworded lingor server, I also have about 6-7 friends coming with with(over time, not tonight.). Could someone PM me the password please?

I heard the script users can control weather. Are they making it rain 24/7? I play on a private server with virtually no hackers and the weather seems fine.

Before I copletely dimiss this game until standalone because of script users.... I'm curious if there is anyone out there running a solid private-hive passworded US server? There are about seven of us that would like to keep playing this game but every night gets ruined by some 12 year old teleporting us out to no-mans land. I saw a few of these locked servers in playwithsix but they were all europian, so I thought I'd ask here. We are all legit players looking for a temporary home until standalone comes out and more attention can be paid to securing the game. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the reply's everyone, I'm looking at your referances now. Sausage, we have been debating that tonight. We decided we would look for a secure private server and test it out for awhile before going that route.

Hey, me and about 7 of my friends are looking for a solid private server, preferably passworded to completely eliminate the possibility of script users. I was wondering if you could elaborate a little on " *Automatic Anti hacking and Custom Anti hacking software. "? Have you guys had any hackers today? What makes your anti cheat meassures better then a public server? We tried lingor private hives all day today and it was even worse then playing cherno :(

Frankly, we didn't care. We left the previous server to find a lesser populated server for this reason. The decision to start looking for another game was made as soon as he got out of the vehicle and tanked roughly 50 shots. What were we going to do? Run to safety even though we knew we would be uninstalling? Run so he could teleport to us and finish the job?

Same here. Me and my friends just spent 3 hours moving to a new less populated server gearing up. We all finally get decent gear and this guy drives into the airfeild stops, gets out and runs to one side of the airfield kills my friend while all three of us shooting at him. He then get's back in the vehicle and drives across to me walks right up to me under fire and shoots me in the face, laughing over comms. He sounds literally like he is about 12, laughing manically. Get's back in the vehicle and go's to the north end and kills the last of my friends while still being shot at. Cool game, but not playable with the script users having free reign to do as they please. I do not believe for a second the "stand alone" is going to magically fix this problem. / uninstall It was fun while it lasted.

even if this were true, all he has to do is afk for 45 minutes and come back dead from starvation/thirst. Basically all you would have achieved is waisting your own time proportionatlly equal to his.

That should most likely correct itself when the (most likely)new sever IP is whitelisted.

I agree with op completely. Rocket is destroying this game. All that potential being flushed down the toilette to rub elbows at the main stream sites. The players have and could have continued to advertise this game. We also could easly have funded it ourselves into release. Now? To little to late. A million peopl ehave been brought in to this game and completely allienated by their refferals. They should have been going over these bugs with a fine comb before and during that crazy rush of new players. Now all those new players are just like.....WTF??? Bad game rocket, You flushed any major chance of sucess this game had down the toilette. Next!
