The radios are legit but don't do anything.. pretty sure the message is a hoax. Some people went into the encrypted mod files and couldn't find any such audio file that matched the one provided, allegedly the radio message -

[1.6.0.1] Glitched through floor in building

Date/Time: 14:00 GMT+1 29/05/2012 What happened: approached a large enterable building that had stairs going up to its entrance. The stairs were not at ground level so I could not walk up them as if they were steps. I carry multiple steaks and canteens with me at all times too in case I run out... but I expect to run out when I'm doing long cross-country treks, not when I'm sleeping/working/having a life. Even though it's not a huge problem for me, I think it's a horrible feature. It's a waste of food and drink that you shouldn't really have to use. If your character didn't disappear when you logged out but stayed there on the spot it would make more sense, but that would suck -

I didn't see another of these threads in the search so I'm sorry if it's come up before. Maybe I used the wrong search terms. I think co-op servers should be introduced where players can't kill each other. While this initially reduces the difficulty a lot, I'd like to suggest some things to make it harder again and force players to work together. -Zombies: are quieter do more damage are faster (yes) have better hearing and sight (too easy to sneak by em i think) Loot system is changed... some things rarer, some more common Players get hungry and thirsty faster The idea of this co-op mode would be to make the mindless, violent cannibals the scary part (who'd have though it?) rather than being a mild inconvenience like they are now. I myself am not scared of zombies but terrified of coming across people, bandit or not, in case I get shot on sight and I know other people are the same. The changes I have suggested should require players to team up and help each other. I know there's not many of em but more suggestions are welcome. I think a co-op mode could be a worthy addition if the removal of PKing is balanced with higher mob difficulty. Oh, and loot in co-op servers can't be transferred to regular servers.

I think a quicker health regen would be fine if you only had light wounds, such as 10000+ blood. You're not likely to stay above 10000 for long, and if you've previously dropped below this level and get above it by just eating a can of beans you won't get the quicker regen (you still have a leg wound, beans won't help that). If you happen to come across a bandit blood levels are largely irrelevant anyway, it's who can line up a headshot first -

I think this is a good idea. Sure, the current school of thought is that you should look for food to recover blood, but when each can restores only 200 and you might be at 8000 or something, they're not very helpful. If they slowly regenerated your blood instead, unless you were below a point such as 6000 where your life is in danger, I think this would be a better system -
Hi all, I started up the game and can't join any Day Z servers. It says I have version 1.60 and require version 1.60 (yes) I've tried a couple of patch downloads from mirrors linked from the official Arma 2 site, one downloaded then got halfway through extraction before terminating itself (didn't patch) and on another the download consistently gets 'interrupted' at 50%. Two of the mirrors were 404. Can anyone give me some advice on how best to do this please?
