    you need to run steam in admin mode right click and run as admin and launch the games though steam then it should be fine

    re install direct x the x3daudio is part of the package it was a common problem with the demo if you got it from steam the redist should be in the arma folders also did you run each game from steam under admin first before using 6networks hope this helps

    the server versions are always different to the client versions of the patch...95824 server side is actually 95819 client side beta patches are backwards compatible so go for the latest stable version and it should be fine the lastest stable at this moment is 96061/63 but there is a newer one (96493/95) that some servers are using beta patches are here http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php only small and dont take long to install hope this helps

    yes you can as Arma is not a "steamworks" drm and can be run without steam running just like a retail version the wiki tells you how to install it http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/How_to_install_DayZ#ARMA2_Mixed_copy_.28Retail_.2B_Steam.29 i recommend using dayzcommander and showing it the install paths to both arma2 and arma2oa just make sure you run steam in admin mode to put the cd key into the registry if you need any help pm me hope this helps
