have you ran steam in admin mode and started arma, arma oa and arma co

actually that is an answer the forum is full of the bugs the fixes and anything else you want to know has been answered

just reinstall on the new computer with the same keys and it will pick up your player again from the hive you own the games they are yours and they can go on any computer that is yours but you can only play on one at a time

do you get this problem in arma as well

try the latest beta from here http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php if you have no joy with that then its your character data on the main hive has been corrupted you can ask for a reset but they are very behind on doing them you can try a few other things downgrade the dayz version to 1.7.2.5 or .4 and trying to get on the same server then it will get stuck at loading instead if you end the process and go back to the .5 and load it should reset your character to the coast if its a location problem when it says creating/waiting for to create character you should be able to hit the respawn button and it will kill the character and create a new one for you did you fix the other problem you were having with you and your brother playing at the same time

what versions of the game are you using most of the time stuck at loading means that your running incorrect versions

or you can try going to to a server with the wrong dayz version so you get stuck at the loading screen or downgrade and try the same server if you end the process when it gets stuck. it should re-spawn you on the coast somewhere when you back get in

i have played on both on the Lingor servers and the load times are great no lag.. i have only met one hacker and have been playing on these for a couple of months (hacker was really bad saluted and then tried to shoot me point blank and missed quite fun really ran around for 30 mins with him trying to kill me)

isn't .33 and .34 lingor island

have you still got this problem sound like missing files the dayz one is missing the arma2 files both are closely related ei same file missing

what are you system specs usually means you gpu is a little dated

have you had any luck with this problem

try deleting the beta folder from your arma2 oa expansions folder and reinstall the beta patch from dayzcommander just check your settings in dayzcommander first to make sure the paths are correct first let me know if this helps

if your having problems with the cd key from the gog version i take it you used arma2serial.exe to input your serial in to the reg and because your using x64 based on your install paths you need to go into regedit and delete the backslashes from the paths to make the serial work this is the path in the reg HKLM > software > wow6432node > bohemia interactive studio > arma 2 then double click on MAIN and remove the backslash from the end then do the same in the arma2oa hope it works mate

if your not in a great position you can try loading up the game and quit during loading a server (use wrong version so you can end the process) and it should re spawn you on the coast with all your gear

loading time mostly depend on the server and how many people are on how long its been up or sometimes if they are losing connection to the hive to get your position when you die and restart it takes longer because the hive wipes your old character (keeps Humanity) and creates a new one and records the position. i think its doing ok on good servers considering how many people are on and how many they expected to be on it. if it don't load it means that you are running the wrong version of arma as the server you should be running the same versions but the arma one is backwards compatible hope that made sense and im not just rambling :)

that error means it cant access the arma 2 files try using this shortcut just mod it to your paths "D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz" or you can symlink your arma2\addons files into arma2oa\extension\addons or you can copy your arma2\addons files into arma2oa\extension\addons as far as steam issues go you must run it in admin mode by right clicking and selecting run administrator and run arma 2 oa and co for the cd keys to be put into the registry hope this helps

yeah try pressing v a load of times or another animation one like surrender or salute if that fail use a bandage that usually get you out of it... hope it helps

i would of done the same too the only reason you would wont a sniper is if you wanted to kill things a long way off not much use in a town/village they'll just re spawn more by the time you get there the only thing its good for is bandits really picking off players heading back from the towns full of gear they want. all comes down to bandit or survivor really what do you prefer

have you tried deleting the beta folder from the arma folder as sometimes its left there after an uninstall try dayzcommander and select your arma folders

cd keys are kept in the registry did you launch steam in admin mode and run ao and co it may need redoing if you have downloaded 1.5 gig failing that you could try a re install of the game if you copy the folders out of your steam folder then uninstall through steam then restart the download let it get a bit downloaded a couple of %pause it and exit steam move the files back and then relaunch steam and resume the download this will force steam to do a better check of the file and re install your cdkeys to the registry then use dayz commander to reinstall dayz and then the beta patch again and in the settings make sure it has the correct path to your arma files hope this help s let us know

sounds like corrupted save data in the hive logging back in and out should spawn you back at the beach but you prob not have your stuff back its happened to me after my game crashed presumably while syncing with the hive
