it doesn't matter witch you use i would update to the latest patch from the link verify your steam cache files for arma2 and arma 2 oa run dayz commander click settings where is says game directories make sure they link to yours if not change them to where your files are stored then try again to connect

what version of dayz is the server running Most servers running 1.7.3 are using the lastest patch that can be downloaded from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php this patch is not on dayz commander yet also on the main menu at the bottom it should have the versions you are using see what it says there is could not be loading the patch

it could work if the files haven't been moved yet if he hasn't launched arma oa for a long time verify your arma files in steam if you have steam as it got moved to there new content system at the same time

youll have to start that with admin rights otherwise it will not make the symlink if your using steam then the files should already be in there they move them in when they took away co options

dayz does not have one. this is the arma one.. if you launch arma you can play the arma ones

i would get the Radeon HD6870 i use one of these in one of my computers and it runs dayz fine with a phenom x6 black with better then medium settings the gpu you have was the last rename of the gpu.

that will run it fine mate for that card and cpu alone your looking at about 350-400 depending on the card maker if you go for a built pc you could get it slightly cheaper this card out performs the one in that system by about 3-5 fps on direct x 11 games at full settings and tess with no oc and is a bit cheaper then that card no amd cpu can hold a candle to the i7 but the i7-2600 also came as a embedded cpu if you were gonna build i would spend a little more and get the 2700k as this is only about 15-20 more but a lot more bang for your buck as they say very cool and take oc well. if you want dual monitors at some point or run games in a high res on a 26 screen i would suggest getting a gpu with more ram in it

your system is well under min specs for arma your cpu is a little bit slow your graphics is low performance due to a great nvidia naming job they keep the same core going for years the integrated card you have is basically as good geforce 4 mx just with improved shader model so it can support aero in windows and it only just outperforms a intel GMA 950 as far as dvd_fuller says about your ram. the amount of ram you have is fine for this game ive got 32gigs of ram and rarely go over 4 gigs when playing games thats what video ram is for. i suggest wait for your gaming pc and play the game then btw what gaming pc you getting

if your using gog you have to edit reg files

are you using steam

it now just does in steam if you want to run dayz use the beta option at add -mod=@dayz to the parameters

try deleting your beta patch folder and reinstalling the latest

steam removed the option to run co as of the last update if you have both installed it now run co as default

yeah i used to put them in trees but after a server restart one time it moved back about a foot never got back into it

sometimes that is a lost cause trying to pick them up i had the same issue when i pitched a tent and the guy stepped forward before pitching.. if you go prone and press right alt you can free look around and look at the tie at the top hopefully the option will pop up if you looked around for a bit and no luck give up and find a new tent

you won't have to buy the game new if you got it on steam and its no longer showing up on your account you need to email valve and say if it is there just go into your steam folder delete the folder called keys and then verify the game cache and try logging in to the server again if it doesn't work then delete the dayz folder and redownload dayz and put it back in arma 2 oa folder and try again

yeah the server names are the same well they are the names of the servers

steam released some sort of patch the otherday and it messed up arma so instaed of fixing it they removed the link to arma2 co is arma 2 oa not showing up in steam either my friend had a game disappear from steam too this was ages ago now

use dayz commander or make a shortcut to start dayz and use the arma browser
