arma2 oa uses more resources then arma free (low res verson of arma) and then dayz even more

why ask then if your not gonna accept it i wouldn't play on less then a proper quad core deffo not a threaded dual core -

my guess would be your cpu -
:) first try booting up your game, then alt tab after loading into menus.. go to your control panel.. Then go to, hardware and sound, sound, adjust system volume.. find the operation arrowhead and you will probably see its volume meter for this application is set to 0%, raise it up to what you want.... sometimes this does happen its a pita if not try re installing directx from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

yeah something is stopping the serial being wrote to the registry if you have started steam in admin and launched the game and its still saying that put it this way your registry entries for steam are gone and your serial for arma gone from the registry both issues with your registry either something is blocking you from writing to the registry what it deems useless keys or your reg cleaner is deleting them before the game is launched have you checked to see if the keys are located in there edit have you reran steam as admin and launched the games to the menu since you verified the game cache when you check the files it deletes the keys from the reg again -
its funny really i could of sworn i saw him in counting to a hundred by a body of water in drumnadrochit when i was there yesterday

your reg cleaer has removed entries to steam url Protocol that is what that image is telling you. i dont know how to get arma working without you giving me more information like what arma says when it doesnt work -

close steam start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator) right click on arma2 and properties then local files click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice and do the same for arma2 oa run arma2 to the menu run arma2 oa to the menu click in expansions make sure the following are enabled arma2 arma2 oa arma2 baf lite arma2 pmc lite if not enable them and restart then exit the game -
have you checked now if arma 2 in in oa expansions menu

steam launches combined operations as default it has done for a while now if you load up to the main screen click in expansions it will show arma2 arma2 oa arma2 baf lite arma2 pmc lite if any are not enable d enable them now and it will restart the game

you misunderstand what i meant the shortcut is on the desktop the paths to your files are c:/program files etc etc etc copy the target from both shortcuts if you find that easier
