you would have to modify the file to include every variant of the script that is possible and check the scripts log to see what variant you need to leave out it would take a while plus you dont have to ignore them just change it from 5 kick to 1 log and keep an eye on the logs

you need to make the scripts.txt yourself and ask day.st to put it there for you

the above error means that you either have a corrupted file or the game is launching wrong check to make sure the path to both arma2 and arma 2 oa are correct in pws or dzc and try launching the game again if that dont work you will have to start steam in admin mode and validate the file this will remove said key from the registry tho and you have to start both games to the main menus this will put your steam one back in then exit steam and put your new key in you can export the current key from the registry first and merge it back in after or use what ever program you used to change the key the first time.

yes different maps have different hives weather they are shared or private hives

you have 3 types of hive public hive --- shared hive between public servers shared private hive -- shared hive between the different game hosting providers (viliager/HFB/Dayz.st etc) private hives -- only on the server you are on i would stay on the one server when your with you mates or find a group of servers that share the same hive(public/shared hive) when you play on any other map you will start a new character same hive rules apply you can have both shared hives and private but no public hope this clears this up

why dont you use the steam serial that was with the game

what versions of the game do you have steam/retail/download arma2 and oa versions and what are you launching the game with

or get one of the other av on the market that dont see it as a virus even after an update

delete the one out of your appdata folder and make sure avira ignores the folder in realtime protection

did you run steam in admin mode and start each game so that it puts the details into the registry you might have to validate the files so the registry entries deffo get merged

start the game as admin and it will install it again and should stay this time

a console release has no effect on the release time on the game if it gets released on what ever console it wont be till the next gens come along and a dumbed down game for console wont effect the pc version anyhows so again .....

the one in your documents mate the back up of that folder is for your save games and config etc you dont really need to do it if you dont play oa or arma just dayz (or unless you modified any of these files to get better fps or fov)

if running arma 2 as admin (Right click on the .exe in oa folder) doesn't work it may be best to do a clean install of arma and arma 2 tp do a clean install you have to follow the steps here ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR USER PROFILE Step One: Run Arma 2 Uninstaller or use Window Add/Remove Programs to Remove Arma 2 Step Two: Restart if required; Open Programs Folder and delete any remaining Bohemia Interacitve folders Step Three: Open My Documents and Delete any/all Arma 2 or Arma 2 OA folders Step Four:At the top of the My Documents Explorer window, in the address bar, type %appdata% and press enter. ---Under AppData, there are 3 folders Local, LocalLow, and Roaming. the dayz ui is always greyed out now as for you res setting start the game as admin and try again to see if that helps save your settings

join a lop ping server if you cant stop anything else from going on the internet, check you ping on pingtest.net if you see packet loss or a lot of jitter speak to your isp there may be a problem with your line or get a better isp/ faster bb

if its an signature error it means that one or more of the files have become corrupted re validating the files will check if this is the case and redownload the files that are bad and running to the main menu will put the keys back in after the validation removes them

cool if you need any help come back here just with a bit more info just game crashing on windows xp could mean anything

if i remember correctly that error is port errors, reinstall the .net framework and try again

probably a signature check if you have steam start it as admin and re validate the files of arma 2 and oa and launch both to the menus
