    it unpacks the files to a temp folder before installing have you run it from the temp folder as admin

    try downloading the latest drivers from intel for your gpu

    C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA go into this folder and delete everything in there and try again

    look in the hidden folder in users called appdata for dayzcommander and delete that

    you need to update the dlcs and then update arma2 oa after to 1.62 and it should be fine then

    close steam start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator) right click on arma2 and properties then local files click on verify integrity of game cache <-- do it twice and do the same for arma2 oa run arma2 to the menu run arma2 oa to the menu click in expansions make sure the following are enabled arma2 arma2 oa arma2 baf lite arma2 pmc lite if not enable them and restart then exit the game

    try deleting your arma config files in my docs arma2/armrma2 other profiles i think that one refers to view distance

    windows vista/7/8 its a hidden folder in your users path should be this C:\Users\PUTYOURUSERHERE\AppData\Local there should be arma folders in there

    yeah thats the one then install the beta on top of that have you merged your arma free files into the oa folder yet you need to patch arma2 free first version 1.11 or you will get other errors on start up

    what i think the issue is. is that steam left the paths in the registry to your steam version so it is looking there for it even with override afaik they install into the same folder on retail but you should be able to change the install paths as you see fit in the installer wizard

    did you uninstall it from steam as well or just delete the folders at this point i would start from the beginning uninstall everything arma oa and arma delete all the folders left over including the one in %APPDATA% and remove the registry entries install arma2 run the game to the main menus running as admin and patch it to version 1.11 install arma 2 oa run the game to the main menus running as admin and patch it to version 1.62 run both games to the main menus as admin again use playwith6/dayzcommander to install dayz and beta patches
