go to C:\Users\YOUR USER HERE\AppData\Local and delete the arma2oa folder -
its not stealing asking where to get a supported version of arma2 from get it from bis mate http://www.arma2.com/free you'll need to copy the addons folder from the arma2free folder into the arma2oa folder for it to work

yes thats what i said mate the sp is limited but plenty of custom missions (wasteland is a custom mission)

close steam start steam in admin (right click and run as administrator) right click on arma2 and properties then local files click on verify integrity of game cache run arma2 to the menu run arma2 oa to the menu

are you the server admin and putting the spawn point in. i think the mtvr is banned by the dayzcode youll need rmod to enable it

while a lot of the servers are privately owned they are open to all the reason for registration to wl and passwords is to stop hackers ruining the fun. theres a lot of different servers out that try an help with the killings of bambis :) arma 3 is limited sp atm but plenty of custom missions are about. arma2 co is a good game in in own right with plenty of mods/missions easy worth the money just for that noone here can tell you what is best you need to do that for yourself

have you ever had arma2 free installed it could be that the registry entries are still there for it -
gog is good old games but you need to use a key inserter to get the key into your registry. if you have retail where did you put your cd key into the game as this is the bit that has failed. where did you buy the game from

you may want to try defragging and disk check and then revalidate them again edit damn my spelling

they are big downloads so launch each game to the menus first and check the bottom right hand corner for your current versions -

arma2 needs to be at 1.11 http://www.armaholic.com/list.php?c=arma2_files_patches_official arma2oa needs to be at 1.62 http://www.armaholic.com/list.php?c=arma2_oa_files_patches_official you may have to install multiple patches in order to get to the required ones ie arma2 if the starting version is 1 you will need to download the 1.09 patch and the 1.11 patch as the 1.11 patch only patches from 1.05+ arma2 oa starting at 1.56 you need to install the 1.60 and then the 1.62 patch -
nope that wont be causing the problem well shouldn't be anyway but revalidating the files for arma2 and arma2oa will also revalidate those too and reinstall everything if you run it all as admin when doing it saves you from re downloading just to be sure everything goes ok delete the @ folder from your arma2oa directory and the folder called _DZC_CACHE and the beta folder from inside expansions

ah right is your arma2 version at 1.11 and your arma2oa version 1.62 launch both games and it will say in the bottom right hand corner the version numbers -
but it gives you a reason for kicking it could be a number of things for the kicking what is your ping like to the server how many mods do you have installed

steams got a crappy download never knew that :D

yeah that probably has this time dont install it through steam then start steam as admin and run both games to the menus when in oa check to see if the following expansions are enabled arma2 arma2 oa arma2 baf lite arma2 pmc lite then try dayz commander the steam version is buggy at best

try deleting the arma2oa folder in C:\Users\YOUR USER HERE\AppData\Local and take a look in your event viewer in windows to see if there is any error codes there

have you right clicked on the dayzmod icon in steam and selected the version from there
