you dont have to start the game with steam running its not a steamworks game. if you create a shortcut in windows with this at the target "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" "-mod=C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;Expansion;ca;@dayz" and this in start in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ thats for standard steam install on a 32 bit windows os that will start the beta load co and dayz

what dayz server control stuff -
what regedit trick did you use there is a couple.If you have deleted the key you need to uninstall everything remove the entries from the registry. go to C:\Users\YOUR USER HERE\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\ appdata is a hidden folder in your user files delete all the files in there and then reinstall your games. start each game in order and then install the retail patches and your Beta and dayz the new beta will give you errors but you can skip them if you don't own the dlc.

thanks for the shout kichilron its late here atm but i can sort the server side files out for you just send me you default files and list the scripts you want and i do them tomorrow. as for the car spawns we can do them but they take a little more work so you will need to work out cords -
just that and the mod files

after you verify the game in stem you need to run both games with steam running as admin to set the cd key in your registry -
thats a good place to start there is no better feeling then doing it yourself as steak says you can pm either of us or cc us both and we will respond to aid you

have you updated arma 2 to v1.11 you said you did the rest -
run the baf and pmc instalers you got with the arma x package then rerun the update

batteye installs to different directories for both games just install it again

install battleye and it will update when you join a server
