Hi guys, I know this particular idea has probably been done to death but I've not personally seen the idea on the forums so I'm making a quick post about it just now. In the standalone game, I think it would really add to that feeling of insecurity and make sure you were always on your toes if there was the opportunity of running in to a town that a massive horde of 75+ zombies was advancing through, or even out in the forest, you think you're safe so start a fire to cook some food and all of a sudden, stumbling through the trees you see one zombie, then another, then another and all of a sudden there's 50 of them bearing down on you and you have to get out of there faster than Usain Bolt jogging over a finishing line. Now, I'm not saying that they should be wandering the map at all times, that would be insane. But they could spawn at random throughout the map when players were near and wander aimlessly either stumbling across a player or eventually despawning after not being near a player for a set amount of time. It's a pretty rough idea of what it could be but I think it could really add to the feel of the game, knowing that at anytime you could be overrun by zombies and if you let your guard down by thinking you won't ever run into the horde, the feeling of sheer terror when you eventually do would be incredible. Ah well, thanks for reading through my basic idea for a game element, hope some people agree.
