Add another removed server to the list. I have taken mine down and will not return unless the standalone DRASTICALLY reduces our exposure to hacking. People in this world suck.

My rational behind placing this thread here is for the same reason you responded. You saw it. You probably haven't seen issue #644, but you did see this thread. My hope is to reach people/admins who don't know about or do not wish to weed through reports over at the CBL. This sub-forum receives much more traffic, so I am able to reach many more people. That's all.

In an effort to accumulate a list of egregious cheaters, I am scouring the community ban list submissions (link 1) to filter out legit cheating attempts for the betterment of the community. Excluding the bans.txt (link 2) issued by the parts of the dev team, I wish to add guids that are in need of a well deserved ban. Relevant violations include "createvehicle", "invisibility", "invincibility", "teleport" and so on. I do not want guids that are related to "DZ_backpack_EZ1" , "seagull", "usammoboxes" (and their variants), "dedicatedserverinterface" (which is purely launching dayz), etc. These additions are for CONFIRMED and malicious cheating attempts ONLY that are beyond question. I will continue to filter and add guids over time and ask that other admins contribute what they can or what they have already added to their own server's bans.txt (non dubious log entries). I can't stress this enough. ONLY add guids from the very worst of the worst. I do not wish for member's guids to be added whose only charge is accessing an ammo box or of ambitious server admins who do not know what constitutes as evidence for a ban. Please, please copy and paste the text. A lot of us admins like to lurk these threads and add guids quickly after reviewing each case. I will not , nor will many others, go through the trouble of copying them down manually.

Hmmm.. You do realize you are banning everyone for launching the splash screen right? You won't acquire much of a player base when you keep banning them for launching dayz. Admins, please do some research before you start banning innocent people like the op.

Those guys were the worst. Pathetic. *spits on the ground* Always, always keep an eye on clan members who join your servers. I can honestly say, by statistical numbers, that 70% of clan members who join your server will cheat in some manner (even as small as duping backpack and sniper only). I will have no new log entries for hours, then a few random clan members join and 2/3 of my logs start lighting up. Always watch them closer. Sorry if it's a bit messy. I had to compile this list from 3 different websites. I will start making it more aesthetically pleasing now that everything is in one text file. I don't ban for people for having banned weapons. I ban for spawning them or knowingly taking them. I message every person who gets "lit up" (multiple lines of code regarding its use or creation) and let them know that i am being being alerted by logs (most admit to seeing a hacker/taking his stuff) and that other admins may ban them if they keep carry it around. Most say thanks and drop it when they find any replacement. I can and WILL ban for blatant usage after warnings. No one is being banned who unknowingly got a weapon off a hacker. But you come to my hood and I get 5+ lines in a row of you picking up specific weapons, you're getting banned and reported in one of my community/dev threads, as I've been doing since my server started. I give huge leeway to possible leads because there isn't a multitude of evidence. I want the innocent to enjoy the game and the community to grow as a whole. It is why I waste HOURS of my time reading up on the topics and keeping myself informed on how to deal/identify them. I wouldn't waste my time doing it if I didn't want the best for this game and its members. Feel free to browse my bans. You bet your ass I can see it and will/have banned them after 5+ instances of code in succession. After doing some reseach, it becomes very easy to identify these instances and shut them down. I post EVERY ban to the http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist and the forums. Good luck!

As fun as it may be, knowlingly taking gear from hacked boxes can land you on global banlists. The admins on your server may one day come across the log and see you picking this equipment all up at once and he may (within his rights) ban you and forward it to the devs/battleye which could turn your little gifts into a curse. If you see hacked boxes, do not touch them. Because if you do, the admins are WELL within their rights to ban you and escalate it to a global banlist. If I checked my logs and saw you, you'd very much be added to both local and global files. Be careful.
