for 1 it is easier to be killed on the coast where there is almost no cover, than in the forest where there is lots of cover. and 2nd you don't need to think of the different areas with colors as danger zones, just a way to tell the sections apart. just a clarification as i understand it: it is going to be Free-for-All, no rules, they are just guidelines. Well i suppose there is 1 rule, don't hack/cheat

you know, at first i liked lingors enterable buildings, but after you get semi-decent gear you know what buildings you want to go to, and the rest you ignore in lingor, so in cherno, you know what buildings you want to enter, and which to ignore. so after an hour or so it doesn't matter what percent enterable buildings are, it all depends on what you are looking for. @Byrgesen, it seems like this last day on lingor must have been hard/stressful for you; people twisting/ignoring rules. i just want to let you know that I/we appreciate all the time and effort you put into your server.

if you want to find this server on the list you need to filter: Host: byrg Max Ping: 0 Min Players: 0 Max Players: 0 Mission: (blank) Type: (Blank) Expansions: show Full servers: show Passworded: show Battleye Required: No those are my filter settings and i only have this server shown, a bug causes it to disapear after a second and when i press "refresh" it comes back for a few seconds, and i can join. just tried to log on, didn't let me (no surprise after what i just read) have had a pretty busy weekend and going to have a busy day today. hope my truck is still there xP probably not. so is it safe to log on? i was busy the day that the hackers attacked so i gladly didn't lose all my stuff. and i have been busy most of today so i don't know what is going on/not going on.

@ LittleTragik as of ARMA II 1.60 ARMA is suppose to detect all other ARMA installations like OA, so it shouldn't be necessary. but you could try coping AddOns Folder from ARMA II to ARMA II OA and that might fix your problem. Also make sure you are running newest Beta, Byrgesen has updated to newer than most public servers and it really thew me off for a few mintues because he also updated yesterday. go to this link, it has all the versions up to the current one on it http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php if this doesn't help can you say what the exact error said you were missing?

Alternativly, you can make a .BAT file to open this server automatically. 1. open notepad 2. copy and paste this into notepad: "start Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe -mod=@DayZ_lingor;@dayz_lingor_island; -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -world=emtpy -connect=91.144.196.47 -port=2302 -password=gingers" (without quotes) 3. save as a .BAT file, go to file, save as, click the "save as type" and change it from "*.txt" to "All files" and name it whatever you want like: "something.BAT" (the .bat is key but not case sensitive) and save somewhere you can find it like the desktop 4. move the newly created .BAT file to your ARMAII OA directoy (i have steam on C: so for me it is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead") 5. create shortcut to desktop (right click the .BAT file and "send to desktop (create shortcut)" With this .BAT file it will automatically launch ARMA II OA with DayZ and Lingor with the password IP and port so you don't have to look for the server on a list. (If some one finds an error i will edit to fix) EDIT: IP Address has been updated to the new static server one the Bat is not working for me, i will play around with the Bat to see if i can get it working again.

Byrgesen was said he spoke with his ISP and that something was going to be done. but if that doesn't work i would support your idea Avatar73, but that means that Byrgesen has to take time to let people join or not (and even if someone does pass the application and is let in they can still decide to hack allbeit less would want to) but it means that Byrgesen has to take alot more time to keep everything secure for the rest of us.

Elmer, it is okay, i got out of bus so if you are glitched in it i can move it. but yea, i don't like that guy. Also, i have to lists of your server, the second one appears to work, while the first one hangs at "joining game" may just be lag EDIT: now only one listed server

oh, so its not just me. i didn't look for server, i have a .Bat file to automatically open that server, it is pretty much the only server i play on now. If its not just me maybe there is a technical problem on server side, like power out for example. not sure. well good luck Byrgesen getting it back up! much appreciate it!
