    Plain and simple: PvE

Dumbest post I've seen in a while. You don't seem to grasp the definition of the word "fact."

Kicked from server: Script restriction #16

Just updated to 1.7.1.4 and now I'm getting kicked with the #16 error. Beta 825 here too. edit: definitely seems like a server issue. Some servers I'm fine on, some I get kicked immediately. Some just sit on "loading" for ages, but that's not new.

Be or not to be friendly?

The simple fact is most players are pussies and trolls, and simply enjoy shooting other people, whether they need their loot or not. It gives them joy. It is what it is, regardless of their "the world is so cold, and i must be colder" bullshit. I've had to kill in self-defense, but if I don't have to kill someone, I'm going to do my best to make sure they never know I'm there. I agree with others, it's much more challenging to be helpful and constructive, rather than just another mindless PKer. Yesterday I found someone being chased by a small group of Z's, none of them saw me, and I took them all out and bandaged him up. In thanks, he gave me food and precious Pepsi. 4. This doesn't work for me. Perhaps since I'm running a retail version, not steam. DayZ is updated to 1.7.1.1, and I've installed the latest beta patch. I've renamed the arma2oa.exe in my main directory, then copied in the beta .exe ... however when I try to right-click and edit launch properties, there's nowhere to do that. So, I did it like I had to originally: create a shortcut, then edit the launch properties of that. BUT, then it tells me my paths are invalid. EDIT: I'm an idiot, and was overwriting the first "C:/blahblah.exe" path. I can get to the game, and servers now. Unfortunately it still takes ages to get past "waiting for character to create." IF it actually gets past there, which remains to be seen. EDIT 2: I can actually spawn into some servers. BUT, they either have a horrific framerate, OR, they have no sound/debug menu.

    Daytime servers are always overloaded.

Some servers are obviously running modified time schedules (i.e. it's 1pm in real life, in the server's time zone, but in game it's the middle of the night) so I don't see why more servers don't just invert it. And, anyone saying nights are "realistically dark, it's a simulator you carebears," is a moron, who has clearly never left the city. Nights in DayZ are like being in a cave, with an absolute absence of light. Nights in real life, outside the city, can be dark, but I've NEVER, in decades of living in the country, backpacking, etc. seen a night as dark as what you find in DayZ, where you couldn't see you hand in front of your face.

I'm having this problem also. What's the fix?
