DoctorCrazy 4 Posted October 14, 2012 used to love dayz.... but after my last character i had died earlier today (i had been alive with so much gear since august) i started to loose hope. Before you click away and think i'm complaining about someone betraying me and shooting me in back, loosing in a firefight, or even falling off a ladder, know that I am not. I died from checking my tent at my groups camp and as i clicked the menu closed and started walking away, I flew through the ground, then fell from the sky on the coast 200 yards from the sky to my death... so having no idea where I died, or even what the F**K HAD HAPPENED?!?! I said hm i lived a long time, ill start over... So i make my way thru elektro to lightly loot what I can, and make my way back to camp, then i decide hm might be easier if i had a ride. What have i got to loose right??? so i find an atv an hour or so later and took the next 3-4 hours searching for engine, wheel, and gas and being victorious in my search i fix up the atv to perfection. and I even ride it smoothly down the hill.... now what? u may ask? well i drove the atv around the corner and over a tiny, tiny bridge over rail road tracks going about 20-30 mph and i do a crazy back-side 1080 flip, land on my head go into shock, flip the atv over and die.... needless to say after taking a break from this game for a few weeks back in september i am now quitting this game for a much longer time... anyone else experience these type of glitches? and/or does anyone know how to flip an atv with no-one on it?p.s thanks for letting me rant 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

herrjon 478 Posted October 14, 2012 The teleport thing, just log out before you hit the ground.ATV's are pretty bad, but that's an Arma problem as far as I know. You learn to avoid bridges and rocks or rough terrain, but I haven't bothered with the things. You can flip them back too, I'm not familiar with the technique, but it's possible. Sula 1205 Posted October 14, 2012 DoctorCrazy, sorry you've had it so bloody bad lately. ATVs can be turned back upright but only if you stay on them and keep pressing the up arrow key. It takes patience but I've seen it work. I don't know if you can do anything much once off. Possibly nudge it with another vehicle? :thumbsup:Kilz, make your own thread and ask specific questions about what you are having problems with. DimonRD 5 Posted October 14, 2012 I flipped ATV twice on the bridge at Solnichniy main road. There is water under bridge and looks like it have same waves as sea. It very buggy spot. ATV will jump high and flip even if you not driving there but staying (tried move ATV after server reset, ATV was standing still on the wheels, but when i got on driver seat, ATV jumped again and i even didn't start engine). So learn what spots you should avoid with ATV. Tried flip ATV back with bus, couldn't flip it. Just pushed out this buggy spot and took ATV after server restart. And dont get frustrated to much - it's just a game....... Remember - any your failure its just your new beginning. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Trazier 2 Posted October 14, 2012 Don't ever drive over rails (paved railway crossings where the road crosses the tracks are okay if you GO REALLY SLOW) or bridges on an ATV.When I first rode one, I sped across a bridge at max speed and nothing happened... did it again no problem. Did it a third time and it had a seizure mid air and flipped onto my head... fourth time, I slowed down to a crawl and very carefully edged out onto the bridge, and right at the center it bounced up as if a bomb went off underneath me.Lesson learned, do not EVER EVER cross rails or bridges on an ATV. Happened to me to, feel your pain.Luckly I saw posts to avoind bridges before I made the same mistake driving over them.
