Problems with the size of the Debug Monitor

Recommended Posts

Thanks for checking out my post, here's the problem.

Okay, so after watching a few Let's Plays of DayZ on Youtube, I noticed a green interface (the debug monitor) so I looked up on how to enable it in-game since it displayed vital information to survive.

I manage to enable it, however it covers the Eye and Ear symbols, and the other symbols at the bottom (hunger, temperature, blood) do not function. They stay green all the time, and the ear and eye symbol do not function either. However the debug monitor functions fine.

Thanks for reading, hope you have a solution or fix to this problem.

They're trying to get rid of the Debug.

The Debug is also not necessary, it's not hard to tell if you're low on blood, and how important is knowing Humanity and amount of Zeds, really?

Well, I myself am trying to achieve the Hero level, so I get that running boost and I can sprint from idiots who shoot me.

And why would they want it gone? :/

The debug monitor was never meant to stay in the game. It was meant as a tool while they worked out the kinks. You'll also find that when you have the debug monitor on, your other icons won't work. Your drink and food won't go red. They'll stay green. And then you'll start losing blood from being hungry and thirsty. If you want to monitor your humanity, my suggestion is to turn it on for a few minutes when you're in a safe spot and then turn it back off.

But if you're insistent on keeping it on, changing your resolution in game, and then logging out and back in, will make the debug smaller.

Ahky, yeah I'm only checking on it regularly on how much Humanity I have.

I'll take your advice and only open it up in safe areas to check :)

And also, when you die, does your humanity reset? I'm quite new to DayZ xD

Nope, humanity carries over. If you get the hero skin, there is a bug where the debug resets to 0 everytime you log in, but the hive keeps your humanity correct.

Yes, your skin remains. The bandit, to the best of my knowledge, does not have the bug that reset their humanity. If you don't like the hero skin, you can go camo or gillie.
