six updater after manual download?

If i manually downloaded the dayz mod from the US mirror server which i do not see listed anymore how should i update? is it easy to switch to six updater if i have already set up the mod manually and how should i go about doing so? please help. If there was already a thread on this my apologies but i looked and there are so many threads and categories i didnt have the time.. =/
