Stuck as if sitting in car

I activated an item in gear whilst sitting in a bus I was ejected in the sitting position unable to stand or do anything besides pivot on the spot and open gear menu. My friend killed me hoping I would spawn normally but alas. I was playing on chernarus on the central main hive. Is there precedence for this I want to play today how can I fix it?

The only way I know of to fix this issue is to drive a car or something up to the person stuck in the sitting position and have them get in the car. They should get in normally and then be free.

Thanks I hope I can get my mate to find a car to bring to me a big task logistically lol.
