aarbron.z@hotmail.com 0 Posted October 12, 2012 ok so i start the game,i spawn in a green field near the sea,i walk a bit and then the game gets minimized.it takes me to the desktop,i still hear the game's sounds (wind,birds singing,music,etc.) but when i click the icon to restore the game's window,nothing happens.so then i alt+ctrl+del and force the game to end.btw,i havent updated my graphics card.when i installed the new drivers,most of the games (like swat 4) crashed and stuff.but when i installed the old drivers,the problem was gone and the games didnt crash anymore.any ideas?Intel i7 core @ 2,80 GHz,asus motherboard P7P55D-Deluxe,4 GB RAM,nvidia geforce GTX 285,windows 7 ultimate 64bit. blunt_zephyr 51 Posted October 12, 2012 Shouldn't have any problems 'what-so-ever' using a 285. I believe Arma 2 is a dX9-graphics. Recently (past 36 hours) Ive noticed when hitting key-combos (like moving, while holding alt to look and then hit caps to talk..or other random combo's) will bring me to desktop. T1z3R 1 Posted October 18, 2012 i was having exactly the same problem. coincidentally mine started after upgrading mobo/cpu/ram but my gfx card remained the same with an 8800gts.i had installed the latest nvidia drivers (306.97) so i went back to 301.42 which i was using before upgrading the system and it solved the problem for me. RiggsUK 69 Posted October 25, 2012 I'm still using Shift-Flush to bring the game back, though its getting to be so frequent i can hardly play. Happens on all maps and it starts with the trees flickering with white dots and whole patches of ground and objects flashing white. Other games run fine. Mostly, if Im alt+tabbing to look at maps/etc and alt+tab back into game..it'll do it once more (without me hitting alt+tab). T1z3R 1 Posted October 27, 2012 problem is reoccurred now with all versions of the nvidia drivers i have tried.i upgraded from a 430 to 650 watt PSU just in case but it didnt solve the problem.google shows its at least a minor issue for some people but the flush option doesnt fix it for me. i have to ctrl-alt-del and restart from there.also, at least in my case, this is not a key combo bringing about the minimizing and i have a switch on my keyboard to disable the windows keys./sad face Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
