minionfett77 0 Posted October 12, 2012 So I'm new to the DayZ community and i need some help. I've been going through the forums, reading everything that i can find. I have re-installed Battleye (we all know its junk) and I've been getting the same message "missing strings"I've even went to the battleye site and downloaded it from there and moved it into the "expansion" file. Like i said I'm new to the community so please bear with me. its been going on for the past two says since I've gotten Arma 2 Combine ops. I've had friends try to help me who have DayZ and they tell me to do the same things as the forums say but never work.I've also been getting a message when trying to get into the server "us 3419" it says "no entry ,C:\ documents and settings\mine\my documents\ArmA 2\ArmA2OA.cfg.3D_performance" this i have no clue what it means. so if anyone has any answers please let me know. and if the final ultimatum is just re downloading everything than that's okay. im just tierd of fighting hours on end. so thanks guys! Calgax 5 Posted October 12, 2012 Hi minionfett,I'm probably way off the mark as it was a while ago that I had the problem of getting into games when I first tried installing DayZ but seeing as there's no replies as yet I thought I'd post.I can't remember what the error code was now that I kept getting when I first installed & tried to join DayZ servers unsuccessfully. I also did something with moving files and crap into other files and it was a fail.I'm not sure if you have it but I downloaded then installed "DayZ commander" and I've had no problems ever since :DI hope this helps. Calgax 5 Posted October 12, 2012 Yeh mate it's easy as. It will also tell ya what updates are out for DayZ, ARMA II & install em for you. Very clean, well set out interface makes it easy for anyone to use.I'm also new to PC jumping over from PS3 and stuffed around for 2 days before trying DayZ commander.Please post how you go mate so anyone else who has a problem will know if it works.
