What has DayZ made me?

I came into this game when it had little over 100,000 players,it was fun,scary and no one but the bravest survivors ventured up north. Why you ask? well the rumours were as soon as you set foot on that runway,the devil himself called forth the men dressed with teatowels over their faces-Bandits. Armed to the teeth with military grade loot,with sacred NVG's and maybe the horrifying sound of the devils 3rd leg- an AS50 shot.

Now a couple of months on,run to cherno or elecktro, Kill a dobry sniper and all that is yours, in a matter of 10 minutes you get the loot that once took a lifetime. When you see a player your finger doesnt press the Caps button like it used to,you click that left button on your mouse so rapidly your finger burns. Turned out he was unarmed and a fresh spawn,with only a bandage and flash light to his name. You sprint away to the anthem of that boys screams, laughing to yourself-what a noob.

Just a day in the 'new' DayZ life i suppose.

I still use Caps lock unless they have a gun then I hide first and then call out to them....if they refuse to respond then I shoot. Moral of the story don't play without a headset....

I sprint across the air field with nothing but a hatchet ... hoping to clear the ground between myself and the fully armed player, his interest is off of me at the moment ... he study's a dead body on the ground ... His partner is already in the chopper, torquing up the engine ... she spots me and gives warning to the one studying the corpse ... I swing down on the players neck as he is still bent over... Hes gone. I turn to hatchet the female in the chopper ... no good ... I get in chopper with her ... she's gotta land sometime... She exits chopper with the intent of shooting me out of it. BOOM ... AS rings out, killing the female ... I hide behind chopper, deciding, do I round the chopper get in and attempt to flee ? Will said sniper continue to watch this crazed ax toting maniac or will he end my life for the gain of a chopper ... I take the chance, I board chopper. Out of nowhere a hacker rams his truck into the chopper... I'm dead.

Dayz has made me one happy gamer...

"Sometime" usually is an appropiate word here... I've been told friendly to find out not friendly...my standpoint is if your friendly you keep your back to me the second I see your weapon come towards me.... you better be able to outrun a bullet.

I just posted a thread about being on the end of the bullet coming from trigger happy players. I haven't let the game make me a killer, though god knows it's hard to resist when you keep getting shot in the back.

I realise that sometimes it's hard not to just react and shoot but there is never an excuse for hunting down innocent players and killing them for their stuff, which is what happened me today. I'm not suggesting that's what anyone here does, just expressing my frustration and disappointment.

Back in the day when dayz was amazing, pressing caps did nothing but piss the server off.

Direct chat didn't work in the golden times.

newbies moaning about newbies is all i see.
