Lag when joining servers above 20 people

Recommended Posts

Hey, this has been effecting me for a looong time, but I've always assumed that it was normal. Whenever I join a high pop server, I get lag. My FPS drops to about 20 or so. (estimation)

When I join a empty server, my FPS is about 60ish.

Anyway to fix this? Or should I stick to low pop servers? All the Dayz videos I watch on youtube have people on 50+ people servers, with fraps running and almost no law. :<

No, The more people that are on and in towns spawn zombies, Zombies create most of the lag that is in the game. For the people that are in High pop servers whilst recording have very decent rigs.

I have the worst internet in the known world. Ever. Really. Dial up from just after mammoths became extinct aint got nothing on me, but i manage to cruise along fine most nights on 50+ pop servers as long as the wind is not blowing and there are no clouds obscuring my internet beam.

What are your pc specs man ?

We know this but he doesnt want to turn his bedroom into the fireflies music video and put aluminum foil on his head just to use team speak

Hetstaine warming up the net in his room = According to him all the lights and toy train sets play a part in bandwidth

watching you join a game is like a catepillar turning into a butterly. A slow enduring process that blossom's into a beautiful barrage of colors and excitement floundering around the wild with no purpose until it dies.

You cut me deep.

I always wondered if seeing a dead butterfly is a good or bad omen. I finally realised it is just a very bad omen for the butterfly.
