HailTails 1 Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) So i was walking around Stary Sobor when i see a crashed heli in the distance. After checking it out all i got was an Enfield (i had a m4a1 CCO SD so i wont be taking that). later on the opposite field i found another one which must have just spawned. Absolutely stoked i make my way over there feeling like the luckiest guy alive, and the luck just gets better. At the second crash site this is what i found:- 2x Bizon PP-19 SD's- FN FAL- Remington 870- and heaps of ammo for all the gunsOf course my luck ran out and on my way back to my camp i was shot in the spine with an AS50So im wondering what's the best loot you've found at a heli crash site/deer-stand??? sostronk 334 Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) The best ones for me are the ones that have a small ammo box of 3 types of 10 different ammo clips. Just hit one up before. I had an M14AIM. There was an ammo box there that had 10xM24 rounds and 10xDMR mags. I converted the M24 rounds to DMR mags and took the DMR mags so it gave me an extra 12.5 full DMR mags to go with the 8 I already have. Sutinen 635 Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) Two I have seen lately:Three FN Fals on one crash (One of them had the night optic)Some random trash loot like chemlights, FN Fal and a left behind AK-74..The one I found a month ago (Probably the best loot):Bizon with no mags, DMR with no mags, an ammo box of Stanag mags (30 sd, 30 normal) and some random rifle I forgot. That ended up getting me sniped.The one I found on the first week I started playing:Bizon with 2 mags. I really didn't see anything else in there.Those are the ones that I have found. I once found a M14AIM with a few mags, but it seems I always end up there too late as it was already raided before the loot respawned.Bad luck I guess, as everybody here seems to hit the motherload everytime. _headripper_ 8 Posted October 10, 2012 Pro tip regarding crashed heli, chekitout from a distance with binoculars or you will miss lots of loot thats going to appear hidden, when you are close, cause of ground vegitation.AS50, m107, m14aim, mk48 mod 0, ammo for all and a ghillie.I keept the AS50, mk48 and the ghillie :D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Jex =TE= (DayZ) 218 Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) TBH that isn't a great find. Bizon is a POS, FAL is also (for what is meant to be "high" tier weapons) and a shotgun? Last chopper site I came across had a as50 and a SAW (though I have come across plenty that have nothing but the crappy FAL). The guy that found 2 m107's and 2 AS50's? That's just stupid that it would spawn that many of the most powerful weapon in the game. Makes me think they aren't so "rare" anymore. Sandwichx 103 Posted October 10, 2012 The best heli crash I've run upon was probably the one that had a M249 + mags, 2 FN FAL + mags, and a full medical box.
