UK370 - UDZ Server, screwing camps over?

Recommended Posts

So I set up my camp in this server and it had been lagging for a few days so I thought it hadn't been restarted in a while. Now I see that the server is not linked to the hive and it has a ping of 10000. Did they screw me over so I lose all my tents with my hardearned gear?! Please tell me what happened, the last time this happened the server disappeared forever and we lost our camp too.

Link to the server in gametracker, the status says 'Dead' :'( http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/94.23.25.224:2332/

Most servers are rented month to month. I would suspect that he cancelled his account. If you want to move to my server I can hook you up with some Tents. However be warned that we dont allow ANY hacked items on our server. It doenst matter if you hacked it or not, you will be kicked if you have it.

Maybe the host stopped playing DayZ, and has no more use for the server (likely, since as you say the server hadn't been restarted for a while).....And no they didn't screw you over, I doubt you signed a contract with them.

Few things.

Don't get attached to your gear.

Don't set up a camp on a public server and expect for the gear/server to be there tomorrow.

Hate to be a dick, but: tough luck, chin up, stiff upper lip and soldier on.

P.S. In case it was a Host altitude server...they seem to be fucked up ATM...(at least some)
