Character not syncing & Always asking to choose Gender

Hi there, been trying to play this game, but it gets frustrating.. I get on a server via SixPlay and I log out ( I choose abort disconnect disconnect etc) but the other day when I try to continue my character I start everything allover again.. Choose Gender.. Waiting to create character.. bla bla

What I'm doing wrong?

youre playing on private hives which generally means your character is limited to that specific server.

how to get back to that character? first off, get dayz commander (way better), then when you find a server in the list you want to play on, just favorite it. then you'll always be able to go right back to the character you started
