Why not ry and update the two 2.8.x updates before trying the 3.1 update? idk 100% but I believe 2 comes before 3 and perhaps there's things that 3 need from 2 to even install?

Thanks for the link but didn,t find anything like this problem.

Also I tried installing previous versions only getting the same error.
