Need good tips for a starting medic

Recommended Posts

Title says everything. I want to become a medic with a Hero skin, as this path seems to be the hardest and most interesting. Plus Shooting on sight is boring, and I have one crappy ability to aim anyways.

What weapon / sidearm is best for Heroes / Medics?

Stuff I should and shouldn't carry?

Things I should consider? Any tip will be useful.

Thanks ^u^.

Also looking for a YouTuber / DayZ videos of medics.

Hathcet is a good primary for when you were going to heal someone and everything goes to crap. Use a G17 for dealing with zombies and light. If you're going to do something, do it quickly. Make sure whoever you want to heal won't murder you. Don't carry anything not directly related to your survival (Don't use any sort of barricade, fuel, odds and ends, etc.)

I was a medic for a long time. The main thing that will help you is a good supply route. Set up a few tents around the map and fill them with meds and basic equipment. Then you can gear up quickly whenever you need to. With regards to weapons TBH it doesn't really matter. Just use what your comfortable with.
